Jon Jones? So many fighters have been hit in the head much more. I think Khamzat took more damage in the Burns fight than Jones did his entire career. Gus and Reyes landed some good shots but Jones is really good and limiting the impact. In the overall scheme of things he only ate a few clean shots to the head.

crazy Jones hasnt lost his chin yet or been flashed
I said this before. Other than the Gus fight Jones has taken very little damage. He had the nasty toe break, but Jones has taken less damage than any champ of his caliber.

Those fights with DC/Gus and even machida had him absorbing many head strikes.

Michael Bisping
He seems OK. If he's gonna have problems it would be pretty drastic decline, cos he comes off totally lucid.

Guys like Justin Nate Sanchez and Max are already showing signs.

Obligatory video of Nam Phan showing signs of cognitive decline.

Chuck is really bad in recent interviews also. Yeah, that's a sport you shouldn't do for long if you want your wits about you in old age.

Big Nog was amazing because he was turned into Zombie Nog with damage in Pride from Fedor, CC, and others; he still won the HW title and beat Randy as a zombie. But yeah, he is in bad shape undoubtedly.

Diego has to be the worst though. No one is damaged like Diego.

DC 2 and Gus 1 are pretty much the only fights Jon got touched up for extended periods of time. Aside from that the amount of head trauma he's suffered is probably well below average for a guy who's been fighting for as long as he has.

That's not to say he couldn't develop issues since the brain is weird. You'll get guys like Holdsworth and Grant who take one bad hit in training and have to call it a day meanwhile guys like Overeem still seem to be pretty lucid and are still active despite dozens of KO losses and even more fights.

For example, the first case of confirmed CTE in an MMA fighter came from the late Jordan Parsons - a guy who had less than 15 fights and only two losses iirc.

The Machida fight lasted less than two rounds, and Jones was never hurt let alone rocked. Lots of fighters have been rocked hard, even knocked down several times in a fight, Jones hasn't once. Hundreds have been ko'ed in the UFC alone.

It's ridiculous mentioning Jones as a fighter that has taken a lot of damage compared to others.

You are correct sir, he is not Jones caliber.

I'm not saying he has to be either. Props to khabib for getting out of the game before taking a whole lot of damage, because that was next.

gaethje and ferguson stand out for me. it's the guys that actually gameplan around their toughness that are really in for trouble later on. those two might be the frontrunners there.

I'll say it again for a guy who has fought as much as Jones he has taken very little damage over his career.
