he has the best strategiests, doctors, and on top of that, he SHOWS UP on fight night like no other.

that's the secret sauce for j'on 'jones.

j'on flows like water, when other fights try to force a square peg into a circle by brute dumbass force.

the other side of the coin with the greats is the ones with such superior skill in one area that they simply beat the circle into a peg, and it works everytime. (khabib and khamzat for example).

Between boxing, MMA, and kickboxing I've been watching fighting for over 45 years. In that time I don't think I've ever seen anybody who adjusted to what was happening in the fight the way Jones does. I think he's a cheating scumbag but he has some unnatural fight IQ.

Studying the shit out of his opponents and training to defeat them. I have serious criticisms of Jones, but the one thing I cannot deny is that he is a fighting genius who works his ass off. He knows his opponents strengths, weaknesses, and tendencies. He knows them better than they do and how to exploit them. Jones told DC how he was going to beat him in his pre-fight press conference and then he did it.

Im surprised this doesnt get mentioned more often.

Im shocked fighters are aware of their weaknesses, flaws or movements on this level and more shocked Jones is capable of capitalizing on it.
