What do you wish your city had that it doesn't?

because that is what gentrification is. White people leaving city neighborhoods.
No genius, that's called white flight. Sorry, but you're going full retard in this thread.

Edit: And just to further educate you, gentrification is when an urban neighborhood receives an influx of residents from a higher socioeconomic bracket. It's not an inherently racial term, although sometimes there is a racial component, particularly in racially mixed areas.

Rather than have, I wish my city would have less:

Pollution, traffic, people, noise, humidity, and heat.

Ahh. I got it mixed up with white flight. Thanks for the snark free clarification. Given the actual definition as you defined it, I still don't see what is wrong with it. Improving the neighborhood is always a good thing. Who wants things to stay run down, poor and low property values?

People always have this rosy, ignorant view of gentrification, oh property values go up and everyone lives happily ever after
Its not a good thing when families are forced from their communities
Its not a good thing when I see old people that went to school with my grandparents have to find a new place to call home because the cost of living has risen to astronomical rates
When the price of groceries rises 150% in a year, thats not a good thing
When all the restaurants and businesses you've went to your whole life are forced out and replaced by fucking Starbucks on every block, thats not a good thing
When all your neighbors that you've known for decades are gone, replaced by 20-something techie douchebag hipsters, thats not a good thing
Fuck gentrification

A legit aquarium/marine center yet the city has finally decided to build one now.

A Pro Sports team. There isnt a Pro team in the whole state. No Basketball,No Football, No Hockey, No Nothing.

A real Korean BBQ place and legal weed. I still wouldn't smoke but give me the tax break.

Dude, no offense, but you were being a condescending prick the whole time when you didn't even know what the fuck you were talking about. Everybody else in this thread thought the same thing too. You didn't get a single like, meanwhile most of the posts refuting you got multiple likes. When everyone else is against you, that's usually a clear sign that YOU are the problem. But no hard feelings, let's move on... :)

Legal drugs, prostitution, gambling, no school zones. Public speedbullet trains all over the city...

Houston

Homeless person deportation space ships

I thought hurricane Harvey would solve the problem but just like cock roaches surviving Hiroshima these homeless camps with tents and barbecue pitts and heroin needles are thriving under every bridge downtown.

You sound like a real douchebag.
