accurately is?

In all of the years that I have tried I would approximate that I am at 50%.

I've predicted almost all of the big fights I've broken down correctly, I just have been wrong on the whole "result" thing.

i'd say 75 percent all things considered, i don't try to pick manner or round of win,, i think it's stupid. even decisions turn out wrong a lot of the time.

I'll take a swing at that stuff but it's mostly for fun. I'm more interested if the fight is playing out stylistically how I figured.

Impossible to even guess, OP. Most people are going to have a bias towards remembering the ones they picked correctly, too.

do you bet boxing often? You'd be good at it imo. Seem to have the knowledge to pick the right side/prop and have the discipline to manage the bankroll well and not chase too hard.

Thanks. I will only if I'm in Las Vegas. Otherwise I tend to stay away. I don't get a rise out of it like I know a lot of people do. Probably because my parents were degenerate gamblers.

But when I'm at the casinos I say "when in Rome" and have a good time. I just don't let it leave there. When I go, I go knowing that I'm going to spend a lot of money. That's not a day to day expectation (or even week-to-week) normally.

Really not sure but that would make for a very cool thread. We could sticky it and track our records.

Anyone interested?

For sure. I can get the thread started and maintain the OP(s).

Considering how I did when betting on 5dimes, definitely better than 75%. It is the stupid tiny fights that would hurt (Tito/Bader - cost me 2.4K). Still positive enough to break better than even though.

down, though we should clarify if it's just winner or specific method of victory

Gotcha, gambling is a slippery slope for sure. Someone who worked in the online sports betting industry said it perfectly once. 9x% of successful long term gamblers have some sort of horror story or stories where they've lost tons of money betting and then finally gotten their shit together. Sorry about your parents tho, once it gets real bad then it's a fucking problem.

It's weird for me b/c I don't get off on the action, I actually started gambling b/c I knew more about certain sports than most other ppl and when you pick a few upsets and then someone on tv says "so and so was a 5-1 dog can you believe it?!?!" I finally went "yeah I picked that motherfucker and nobody even said good job let alone gave me money for it," lol.

So I got into sports betting b/c I was sharper than most, even when I first started not so much for the feeling of gambling so to speak. I don't like the feeling of having large amounts of money on sports tho, it's nerve wracking and you're more pissed off when you lose compared to being only kind of relieved when you win, b/c if you consider yourself sharp then you expect to win most of the time so it doesn't feel as good. Also that's when chasing and wasting money comes into play. Worst feeling ever when you go full degen and find out you meant to lose a couple hundred at most and it turns out to be thousands, ugh.

I'm all for it. Underrated sharp who doesn't gamble much but when he does, he wins, @PHATV can pick a winner and method believe me. But Im winning this if it's happening. Front runner. Forget this when I finish second to last.

I was just going to go with straight-up-and-down winner, regardless of round or method. Draw would still be an option, though risky.

you hit at a 75% win rate on dimes? That's a crazy clip. 60% is super high 75 is insane.

My betting sits at 63% for boxing
My predictions sit at 12% lol I think i rival @cuban23 in terms of least accurate lol

and N/C? Overturned?

I'll make it more specific in the rules, but anything that doesn't result in a KO, TKO or going to the cards would simply be discarded. A DQ should count as a loss.

This has pros and cons lol but bring it . Bring the crow dinners

I think in terms of just picking a winner it’s pretty good, most boxing matches have a clear favourite though. In boxing I’m much better than MMA though, that shit is all over the place.

Bolded: that's true, I've already got the thread going so I'm going to keep showcase fights to a minimum. But if a fight has a clear favorite, that just means everyone has an opportunity to get an easy win. Doesn't really create any unfairness.
