I'm trying to step my greens game up. I've added a lot of spinach to my diet, but my question is, are green pea's a good addition to my diet? I thought i saw somewhere that they might not be as good for you as other greens

Just thought I'd post this pic from whfoods.com, look at all that goodness.

Yeah its good but there are better choices out there. Try kale, broccoli, cauliflower, zucchini, eggplant, tomatos, all sorts of delicious veggies out there.
Def doesn't hurt to add them to your foods. I like to add them when im eating rice or potatoes along with broccoli, carrots, corn and peas.
I thought they were a legume and should only really be eaten PWO, kinda like corn??
I like cold peas on my salads. I still stick with the rule that if it's green it's good.
Definitely good! It's green! High in protein for a veggie as well. I always enjoy peas.

On another note, as another posted - use some Kale, Collard Greens, Mustard Greens, Turnip Greens! Damn good stuff - highly nutritious.
I love them peas... unfortunately I would rather eat the less healthy cream peas :)...
