I'm really surprised TS & a few others have him as a childhood hero/fav wrestler,even the Benoit well before he offed his family,i could never get into him,found him incredibly boring,regardless if he was a 'good wrestler' I was more than happy when storylines had him in the background.

He was a great idol for people who love Vanilla Midgets and want them to be world champion *cough* Daniel Bryan *cough* but that's about it. Outside of 2004, he didn't leave that much of a void.

Benoit wishes he was over as Bryan Danielson.

I liked benoit, liked his rugged style and im a suplex mark. Hes the oerfect example of a guy who paul heyman should manage.

From what I heard about him in interviews was he was nice and an insanely hard working but the shy, quiet and overly intense guy. I was horrified but not shocked it happened, he seemed like a guy who could snap.

One of my favorite wrestlers as a teenager. He was the only member of the 4 Horsemen I liked when I first got into WCW (I was a WWF fan from the start) and one of the few WCW guys I liked during the nWo angle. His feud with DDP over the US title with Raven interfering and costing him the belt was great. Was stoked when he got into the main event of WM20 and won the title.

Really wish his heart had just exploded at some point before he did what he did.
