What do you buy on Amazon?

Batteries, everyday clothes, microcontrollers and sensors, kitchen stuff, and small appliances like toasters and blenders.

My wife buys these cool gift boxes meant for specific occasions/types of recipients, which always gets a nice reaction. She also bought some hand-painted mugs from Mexico that we use daily.

I've also purchased 2 sofas; one was a really shitty one that broke when my overweight niece plopped on it. The other is a modular storage sectional with washable covers, which is awesome given I have kids and pets.

To think I was almost delusional enough to respond "nah fam mi nuh rly order much from dem". Sometimes autopilot be like dat fam.

Agreed.

I've been burned on a few mini computers in the last few years even from known brands, with failures I'd never seen before or much, much faster than should have been expected.
Yes it‘s really happening and it‘s not some conspiracy theory. It‘s widely documented. TBH I also blame the consumer for always wanting new shit. That‘s why almost no R&D budget goes into quality improvement anymore but into marketing and selling fun stuff that is connected to social media, has blue tooth, etc.

I mean just look at Wish and Shiene and Temu.
Cheap shit and in many cases filled with chemicals yet they makes billions from Westerners that are addicted to shopping.
People dont care it breaks or is worthless its all about instant gratification.

And lets be real, people WANT their shit to break so they have an excuse to buy new.

As I said I have never shopped at Amazon, once a year I might shop at eBay and its probably less. I never shop from Chines cheap shops.

I completely stopped buying thumb drives on Amazon. I used to exclusively buy the Rage Patriot, but quality crashed and I got a couple of bad ones in a row.

No, but I got this vanity plate for my black CRV:

Last ordered diffusers for my cat and a white noise machine - also for my cat lol. We had a $600 vet visit just to determine nothing is wrong with her physically, she just has anxiety (from my psychotic neighbor being psychotic lol). So that’s fun. She’s doing much better now tho x

eBay, now we’re talking! Last night I couldn’t sleep, so I bought a copy of Ginger Snaps on VHS, a VHS camcorder from 1995, and a cute sweater from the 80s lol. God I love junk. I love shopping. I will not be stopped!!!

I might buy a new pillow … mine has turned yellow…
