For those of you with kids - Christmas gets fun once again as it becomes all about them. Sure, that magic of childhood that made Christmas feel like the absolute greatest wonder ever will never return to us in maturity - but watching that same wonder unfold for our children can be very rewarding and fill you with pure love and appreciation for having an opportunity to raise our own flesh and blood and experience a meaning to this thing we call life. Now that may sound corny/cheesy as fuck but for those with kids you know what I am talking about.

And if you don't have kids - giving back to your parents can be a nice experience as well. More importantly putting any grudges or bad feelings aside and getting together as a family for the holidays to sit and have fun. Drinks of course make things better.

So, what did you guys get for your kids for Christmas (if you have any) ?

And what about the folks?

For me, I got my 5 year old son an acoustic guitar that is around his size, well a bit bigger but perfect for me to start giving him lessons. I've played for 12 years and had 5 years of formal lessons so I am quite good and want my son to be even better. Cannot force him into it - but he seems interested. Other little toys and stuff of course but that was the big one.

The folks I just got some cheap things, alarm clock for mom, shirt for dad and chocolates for both.

Got my dad a shredder, he really wanted one.
Got my mom jewelry (necklaces)

If I have kids, I'll give them present of a Sherdog account to post in teh heavies

For my parents: sweaters and jackets. Nothing exciting. Couldn’t think of anything fun.

For the parent inlaws: MoviePass. They were stoked. They didn’t know a service like that existed.

Got my mom a roomba. Got my kids a quick death in one of the socks my mom got me for Christmas.

Holy shit all my E-pets from things like this always fucking died from being starvation while I was in class at school but I could hear mine and other little E-pet thingies like this bitching and moaning for food from everybodys jackets and backpacks while a lesson was going on. lmfao.

THEN. There was a digivice. You literally just keep SHAKING the fucking thing all the time and yet I had fun somehow. You SHAKE-SHAKE-SHAKE to walk one step at a time, then when you get into a fight with another Digimon- You SHAKE REALLY FAST and if you shake fast enough you win. Then rinse and repeat. Fuck. Good times.

Bought my mom a sous vide cooker, and everyone went apeshit.

Dad - he's been obsessed with Sudoku for about the past 10 - 12 years since he thinks he is going to get alzheimers/dementia, so I got him 3 books. Also got him the Obama photography timeline book since he wanted it. And dark chocolate.

Kids - have a 4 year old and 8 month old, both boys. The oldest is obsessed with Thomas the Train. So he got about 70 of those mini trains, and 2 mini train tracks. The ginormous set that we got, we actually didn't give to him and will let him have it when we move into our new house. The 8 month old - well, he got 8 month old kind of stuff. Books he can chew on. Toys he can chew on, etc etc etc
