Crime What did the cops do wrong today Megathread Vol. 6 ? (who knows, lots of cop threads)

I actually dont think Cop jobs pay enough. IMO they need higher base salaries, and education thresholds. Incentivization to attract a better qualify of applicant. And even then there will still be quite a few applicants who are racist/classist enough to get a degree so they can make $200-$250k beating and killing poor people, but there wont be the same level of goon squad bullsh*t going on now.

Agreed here...

One of the few times we do.

It's a travesty what cops have to deal with and how much they get paid. Anyone with an ounce of brains and talent will find a more lucrative and much less stressful career elsewhere. And far less hours.

And I agree that they need to be held too a much higher standards in most situations. Their criminal penalties should be higher when prosecuted due to the power they possess.

Anyway... Here's a crazy situation... Police Officers being directed to stand by while a kids joy ride a stolen car in front of them.

lol... I have no words here.

A paraplegic man who's been in a wheelchair for 20 years was arrested for allegedly kicking down a woman's door, assaulting her and then fleeing on foot.

The arresting officer literally pulled this man out of his wheelchair onto the ground after cuffing him before the one sane and intelligent cop on duty walked over and realized that the guy likely could not walk because his legs were atrophied.

The sane cop tried to explain the situation to the lieutenant, who was too busy eating lunch in his office to assess the situation and decided that the guy was faking being crippled to avoid going to jail.

Seeing shit like this makes me wonder if the average cop is capable of solving a crime that didn't happen right in front of them.

I just saw this yesterday, the incompetence and malice they show towards disabled people is f*ckin gross.

Goon squad showing more utter disdain and disgust for the handicapped/elderly. Cant take your elderly handicapped Grandmother shopping without getting harassed and arrested, especially while black:

This should be in a "what the cops did right" thread.

The way that this bike cop talked to this douchebag sheriff who was aggrieved about being pulled over for speeding is awesome.

Back to the wrongs.

Pennsylvania police chief is on leave after surveillance footage showed that he lied about an arrest that he made while he was off duty in plainclothes.

He pulled his weapon and assaulted a guy on a motorcycle for no reason.

His report claimed that the guy attacked him after he tried to talk to him about a traffic citation.

If that camera weren't there, this dude's life would've been ruined by this lying piece of shit.

Benny should be arrested for his haircut and beard.

Another guy having a stroke gets arrested for DWI. Get's thrown in jail for over 7 hours after asking to go to the hospital. Now he suffers from blindness among other impairments.

A lot of people claim mistakes, ignorance, apathy, lack of training, etc. But there is a serious level of malice and intentional negligence amongst the law enforcement population these days.

A Missouri man who was wrongly arrested for DWI while he was exhibiting symptoms of a stroke is suing the sheriff’s office for not getting him the medical treatment he needed.

In a complaint filed in federal court in April, Paul Espinosa, 54, claimed that while he was arriving at the parking lot of the Amazon Warehouse in Republic, Missouri, where he worked, he was pulled over by Greene County Sheriff’s Deputy Kyle Winchell. Winchell claimed that Espinosa’s car was “weaving,” and the deputy suspected he was driving while intoxicated. Espinosa agreed to a field sobriety test, including a Breathalyzer test, which yielded a reading of 0.000% — indicating there was “no trace of alcohol in his system,” the lawsuit states.

However, Espinosa showed signs of “swaying” during other parts of the test, and Winchell arrested Espinosa on suspicion of DWI. Espinosa was put in the back of Winchell’s vehicle and transported to the jail. Espinosa began “sweating profusely” during the transport, despite the car’s air conditioning running throughout the trip. Upon their arrival at the jail, Espinosa’s “motor skills were declining,” the lawsuit states.

As Espinosa was being booked — and consenting to a blood test — his condition continued to deteriorate, according to the complaint. Minutes after his arrival, Espinosa began to lose his balance, his speech began to slur, and he became “confused with simple instructions.” According to the lawsuit, all of these symptoms became more pronounced.

Espinosa was brought to a holding cell, where he remained until two officers noticed he was slumped over. A nurse was called in and asked Espinosa if he knew what was happening, and he allegedly replied, “No.” She took his blood pressure and heart rate and reported that his pupils were “sluggish and non-reactive,” according to the complaint. Espinosa was then left alone in the holding cell.

He remained at the jail for a total of seven and 1/2 hours until 2 a.m. when he was escorted by a courtesy car driven by a booking officer to a nearby hospital for “unstable health conditions.”

When Espinosa arrived at the hospital, the booking officer allegedly lied to hospital staff, saying that police found Espinosa in his car in the parking lot, and “the police did not feel that he looked right and was having trouble speaking when they tried to talk to him,” the lawsuit states.

Hospital staff diagnosed Espinosa with a cerebral stroke and immediately transferred him by ambulance to another hospital for more intensive care, according to the complaint.

The lawsuit claimed that Espinosa went blind and “suffers from other impairments” as a result of the delay in getting medical attention, caused by the “intentional denial” on the part of the Green County Sheriff’s Office authorities.

Espinosa is suing the sheriff’s office for medical negligence and deliberate indifference. He and his wife are asking for a jury trial and punitive damages.

So here is another case of the Cops doing right, doing a good thing, and just seeing how they go about business here is heart-warming. Now I will say it seems the victim here is connected because a few of them know who his daughter is and another Deputy says: "Well we gotta do something, she knows the law just as good as any of us do." However that's not put at the forefront of what happened.

Old man (78) parks in the striped area of a pretty empty dollar general close to the door. Off-duty Deputy takes exception to this even though it's not a crime and Police don't enforce such things unless the store complains to them. Man tells him to get lost as he was only in the store a few minutes maybe and says he is leaving anyway. Deputy blocks him from getting in his truck, he pushes Deputy, Deputy moves off around the truck but then comes back and snatches him out, subduing him on the ground and calling Police. Police get there and immediately think something isnt right. Another deputy from the same department comes out and also thinks things don't add up. Deputy claims the old man kicked him as well, but not likely. They call the actual Sheriff who listen to the story and also says Deputy was in the wrong.

Cops just standing around express concern over why he is policing people out of uniform and one says when he sees people make minor violations and he's out of uniform he just minds his own d@mn business. Offending Deputy ends up arrested, charged with 2 felonies, and fired:

I dont live in the South anymore, but this is a good example of the integrity I remember some small Communitues having down there that are good demonstrations of why people love them.

"There are good cops out there"

Oh really then why are bad cops like these still cops? You shouldn't be allowed to be a cop after such a fuckup and such an attitude.

The Civil Rights Lawyer did a video about this scumbag sheriff who was so aggrieved about getting a written warning for speeding.

It turns out that he runs speed traps in his county that he uses as a pretext to steal money from drivers via civil asset forfeiture.

This theft has been going on for years, and there are multiple pending lawsuits against him.

He's also one of the bozo sheriffs who Trump invited to the White House a few weeks ago when he announced that he was going use executive power to obstruct any accountability for problem cops. That's going to work out really well for the average citizen.

Here's a good breakdown of how ridiculous this incident was and why the cop didn't even have the right to demand ID from that woman.

Tyrant was so sure that she'd gotten a scammer who was improperly using a handicap placard that she ignored the woman telling her multiple times that she'd dropped an elderly person during the trip, which validated its use and should've ended the interaction in the first minute.

If you can't handle something this mundane without costing the taxpayers money, you shouldn't be wearing a badge.

this one didn't actually happen. someone spliced clips together and made up a fake story.
Proof? These guys mowing lawns for free get hassled all the time. I posted one where you actually see the Cop roll up and harass him but it was a 30 minute video of him mowing the grass and I got chewed out for posters here watching the whole thing. Lol

But do you have any evidence it's fake? Because he likely has a whole video up on his channel.

The culmination of having sh*ttily-educated authoritarian goons as Cops, along with a touch of "all black people look alike."

I swear one of these days this is going to cause a community riot because even her neighbors was like "this is unacceptable"...and there correct.

Nobody dislikes cops more than me. but not going to blame them from something they didnt do. This cop footage was spliced into several videos. the original cop video was from something about a child custody case. here is Tizzy, a liberal hero explaining it was bs.
