Crime What did the cops do wrong today Megathread Vol. 6 ? (who knows, lots of cop threads)

It’s actually embarrassing at how inept this cop is at defending himself. He’s lucky the guy just wanted to beat his ass because he could have easily took his gun from him. This cop is a liability and could have put all his coworkers in danger.

Cliffs:
-Man wants to talk to police about something.

-Cop calls him mental then instigates a fight, confronts him, and calls him mental again.

-Cop proceeds to get his ass beat multiple times.

The guy clearly has issues but holy hell that cop is a disaster.

How about no. How about you eat a dick. I put a lot of effort into my threads. And then some bitch Ass dumps them in here making it sound like these cops did something wrong, so I am coming up with my own solution.
-Can you at least see why they were merged?

-Whats the difference between random blacks committing crimes on video vs cops committing crimes on video???? After all it boils down to the same thing. Criminals committing crime on tape.
Ones side claims one group is protected by MSM & woke leftist culture. The other side protected by their authority, organizations, and right wing authoritarian hero worship culture.

Oh has the Louisiana Brave Cave been mentioned yet?????????
The racial angles are Inception level. Like totally crazy. Very interesting. Lots of Black citizens and Black media outlets supporting the Black Chief despite the already proven corruption. Lots of Blacks turning on the White "wokes" who are asking the chief to resign. Its come full circle lmao

I actually was going to post the disgusting existence of a brave cave, but I was sure it had been posted. Don’t know if it has. That one pissed me off and made me sick. It was like Guantanamo on US soil.

And no, I strongly object to these incidents being merged into a thread that automatically is saying the cops did something wrong when I have put up a strong argument with a lot of work out into it ti argue otherwise.

And this most recent thread merge had a second story attached to it about the antifa coo getting murdered and has nothing to do with cops. I figured that would offer some protection but I was wrong. But we can have six diff threads on trump.
I just made another megathread discussing exactly this issue

Let’s see how long that one lasts before the same mod that has it out for me merges it

The GF didn’t want to give a description of the guy that just murdered her BF in the streets?

Incredible. Leftism is a suicide cult.

I don't know the whole story but could be she's involved, ex-bf did it who's she still sleeping with, etc.

Gofundme certainly has worthy causes, but it’s also a money grab for any story that hits the mainstream news. I mean why the hell not create one, it’s free money and if you’re sucker enough to donate then that’s on you

Which mod is profiling & bullying you?
Honestly, I'm an argumentative annoyance a lot of times. I have had it out with many of the mods here. Even the far left ones. I have to say recently over the past month or 2 the mods have been more fair than ever & actually focused on cleaning up a lot of the REAL problems rather than the low hanging fruit of crybaby flaming.

As for the Brave Cave..... At the surface level you have an overwhelming group of Black citizens & Black media who are supporting their local LEOs and their Chief.

Its also important to note that the Chief called out the officers by name. Admitted to ALL of their wrong doing. Admitted the cover up. Took somewhat appropriate actions by demonizing and terminating them. He wasn’t an apologist for ANY of the actions. The community recognized him as one of their own. He addressed everything head on (again surface level).
So, I just wish the same people who talk about and push a certain "they're always anti-cop narrative can spam this national news story & paradigm shift the same way. Its a bit convenient not to.
I think a lot of LEO agencies can learn from what is going on here.

Also, I still need to take a deeper look into it. I'm not giving a high ranking leader like The Chief of Police a total pass. I think there has to be some ownership at leadership level here. If you hire or kept corrupt dirty cops on your force, you have to answer for that happening under your watch. Especially if they have all the resources and lack of oversight to set up an entire infrastructure to circumnavigate & operate outside of the law with impunity. All while using citizen dollars to do it. Absolutely disgusting. So how can anyone even question defunding or budget cuts when you totally allowed the misappropriation of resources, equipment, clocked in time, & payroll to sponsor citizens getting tortured in a random warehouse????
I feel the "leftist white woke" council has every right to question the Chief and question why PUBLIC SERVANTS are doing this with citizen dollars. At the same time I would need to make sure they just aren't trying to use the Black Chief as a scapegoat.

I think I liked this one a bit prematurely....lol
I've been in the same situation multiple times. I am willing to I.D. for stuff like that. Other stuff nope..

@nhbbear sure fucked up this thread with his dumbass two for one thread he made yesterday.

Looks like the usual outcome to an “agreed upon”

All pussy and pistol

No, this is egregious. Cops only need to quell suspicion of a crime. He didnt behave in any suspicious manner, he didnt attempt to flee or conceal what he was doing, and he explained that he was just trying to get something out of the truck. He also said they could verify it was his with his family members nearby.

In order for the Cops to continue to suspect he was trying to steal the car they have to be conspiracy-brained:

- he greeted them and didnt run.
- no signs of nervousness that they were there
- continuing the activity despite their presence (which means he was fine with them supervising)
- offered a means of verification

They have to think:

-he is brave enough to break into someone else's car right in front of the Cops
- he has convinced multiple people to lie for him before they got there

It makes no sense. He doesnt legally have to ID or to help them investigate, because he did nothing wrong. Entering your own property is not wrong regardless of the means needed to do it. This just shows Cops dont help, they punish

I don’t know which mod or mods keeps doing this. I would really like to know-have the mod reach out and explain their side and reasoning. I have my suspicions and I think whoever it is gets amused by doing it. but you can probably understand my annoyance with this. You and I rarely agree on anything. We have discussed that and I would like to think we are able to move past that and have passionate debates about the topics and avoid personal attacks and blatant trolling on both our behalf’s. By now, hopefully, you of all people, should be able to appreciate how much work and research I put into my threads and posts. It takes a lot of time to do so each and every time. I rarely ever have one or two sentence, let alone word, replies or posts.

As for the brave cave, I actually did want to do a thread on that blasting the disgusting proactive. I was looking forward to doing my research (during my masters, the extensive research was my favorite part) and creating a very thorough thread on it. What stopped me? The fact that I knew it would end up in here, buried under hundreds of other posts, with very little discussion dedicated to it.

As for the end with the defund mentions, it got a little confusing because it came out of nowhere. That is a different discussion. I do, however, think that a police departments budget should be broken down with the training each officer receives and the cost of the trainings and all of it being public record. I think when it comes to training, the public should be able to see how often their officers are receiving training and what kind of training-even knowing how much it costs to cover their shifts with overtime.

@nhbbear sure fucked up this thread with his dumbass two for one thread he made yesterday.

Look, this is my thread to begin with. It did not start as an anti-police thread. Look on the first page and check out that story. Man shooting in street, hides in porch, and when approached by police, jumps off of the porch and tries to run when he is shot by police. I very successfully made an argument that it was absolutely justified based uponTN vs Garner. Some mod took that thread and turned it into this anti police thread -I think as a joke or cowardly attack.

I made the 2 for 1 thread because I absolutely knew that if I simply did one on the justified police use of force on woods-it would end up here, so I added the second story on the murder-that thread by itself would have ended up in crime megathread. I thought the thread would survive a purge, but it didn’t and here it is, buried in an anti cop thread.

I look at it a bit different.
Using a large tool to enter a parked vehicle on the street is suspicious no matter who does it or what they have on. Even when I do it on my own cars lol.
I also would want a cop to stop and at least check if they saw anyone on my street doing the same.

I've been in this situation at least 5 times that I can remember. 4/5 times the cops did offer to help if I signed a waiver for damage. Or the cop approaches the situation saying "hey I can help you get it unlocked, our policy is we just need to verify its your car." To me that's reasonable.

The one thing I may agree with you on here is, I know most cops are going to use that to check if you have any warrants or to see if they can get a bust instead of just verifying if the vehicle is yours and being done with it. I do see that point.

He didn't have a problem with them stopping and checking, he had a problem with them further escalating when he refused to ID himself, which he is not legally obligated to do. Your last paragraph is relevant here. This dude wasnt hostile at all until they started demanding ID, unlawfully detained him, ignored everyone telling them they were wrong, and kicked his ass.

This is going to cost the taxpayers if he files a lawsuit, and he should.

Yeah we have our good times & our bad times.
Yes I do appreciate your insider anecdotes & time you put into some of your responses. On the other hand you are always going to have a leaning bias just due to how you identify. Even of you are able call out the glaring more obvious abuses, the more nuanced stuff kind of gets mass dismissed.

"Defunding" is specifically germane to the BRPD Brave Cave incident. It was introduced into the topic by the Chief himself. He went off on the city council for defunding him & attacking his department by weaponizing the feelings of citizens against him. He did so in a very passionate, aggressive, inflammatory outburst that some would even call "unhinged or hostile."
Then a scuffle broke out in the corridors....
I thought it was pretty ridiculous & poor taste to call this out as your department is literally under federal investigation for them using citizen tax dollars & inappropriate squandered ill gotten' resources to torture and rape citizens. Sounded like he was upset that maybe him or the department had to pay for all the legal defense.

I think he already put his resignation for November.
He speaks of some interesting things. Such as the appeal or review boards having Police union members who undermine his decisions to fire bad actors. Can't tell if that's just virtue signaling for the crowd or like a legit conspiracy to make him and his department look bad after they did the right call.

I'm not a lawyer, I only have BA in Political Science pre-law.
So maybe I'm wrong here, but I would think somebody breaking into a car with tools would warrant suspicion of a crime ?

Like lets pretend I take a giant brick and throw it through the window of a buisness as cops are driving by. I should just be able to say "its cool I own the buisness" & the cops should just drive by. As long as I keep doing the action??????

Ok, now I see where the defund aspect came in. I have read some bits and pieces about the brave cave, and I was looking forward to doing research on it to educate myself fully on the topic in a thread, but we all know it would have been dumped and all that work for nothing. And at the end, that city worker was completely violating the first amendment of that reporter and I would not be surprised to see a lawsuit which is justified

And of course I am biased in many of these stories. I am a retired coo. But I also will not hesitate to call out bad cops because I hate them and they are so destructive to community police relations, they cost cities millions, and they violate the rights of the people. But those are bad cops-the criminals with badges, however, having been in so many bad situations and having come close to using my gun on multiple occasions, I have a great deal of empathy towards officers that are on the wrong side of that split second call. Perfect example, Kim potter, who shot and killed Duante weight when she mistook her gun for a taser. She called out taser taser taser and then shot him. She knew she fucked up and was visibly upset after shooting him. She was charged and convicted, however, she did get a lenient sentence, thankfully. What bothered me is the police owned that mistake and there were still riots and calls to have unarmed traffic cops-one of the worst ideas in the defund movement.
