Crime What did the cops do wrong today Megathread Vol. 6 ? (who knows, lots of cop threads)

Back in April, eight cops were shot and four were killed during a shootout in Charlotte when the local fugitive task force tried to arrest a guy on an outstanding warrant.

It turns out that as soon as the dispatchers asked all available units to respond, a large number of CMPD cops who were on duty logged off of their radios and refused to provide back up.

This was first reported a month ago. The department initially denied the story, but the union confirmed that it was true.

So far, one cop has been punished.






A lot of these guys act like the terminator when they're dealing with unarmed citizens, but want nothing to do with actual threats.
 
We all have seen that the cops, even in "good shoot" videos just spray their firearms into cars and residential buildings with no concern for what their bullets strike. Well, looks like they probably shot up an 8 year old because they sprayed a car full of random bullets while killing an adult.

The New Hampshire attorney general's office says a man being pursued in the killing of a woman has been fatally shot by police on a bridge that connects the state to Maine, and an 8-year-old child was found shot to death in the man’s car.

“Early this morning police engaged with the adult male on the bridge in an incident that ended with the male being fatally shot. The Maine Attorney General’s Office is now investigating that officer-involved shooting incident,” the news release said.

“Police on the bridge also found an 8-year-old child fatally shot” in the man’s vehicle, the news release said. The exact circumstances “remain under active investigation.”

Well at least they will investigate their own murder of a child.

He didn't fail to retreat. He deliberately placed himself in danger. I tell my children to look both ways and not step in front of cars. His ego killed that absolute douche bag woman.
 
They're holding the line as if a Genghis Khan horde is coming over the hill. Instead they are a bunch of cowards doing the bidding of the state for money.

Apparently, it took five years for the FLDE to run a ballistics test and figure out that a kidnapped UPS driver was killed by bullets that were fired by Miami-Dade cops who were in a shootout with two fleeing robbers who hijacked his truck and kidnapped him.

The responding units were told not to approach the truck and to block the intersection where it was cornered. The cops who fired ignored this order and engaged in a shootout around a bunch of civilians during rush hour that killed the UPS driver, another driver and sprayed bullets into several other cars.

The cops were indicted, but the authorities generally slow walk cases like this when they're not serious about trying to get a conviction. Most of the public interest is gone.

Things like this have to be staged. How do they expect this not to be an absolute disaster and PR nightmare when you treat an old idiot like that? It is like they are doing this to create even more divide between the citizens and police.

We tried to crack down on behavior like this in Portland and the whole swat team stepped down in protest.
