Social What Country Should I Visit?

my wife and I like to travel. I had never really traveled before I met her so now Im trying to experience the world. So far we have done Italy, Scotland and Iceland. This year we are gonna be doing Domincan Republic in April and Switzerland in October

I should go to the Domincan Republic tbh it’s not expensive and a shorter flight. Switzerland is an honorable mention lol

Which would you choose out of the first three you mentioned?

All great. Italy had the most to see an do for tourists with big cities. Florence in particular was memorable for the art scene and night life.
Scotland was beautiful country. Castles just randomly crumbling on the side of the road.
Iceland is the one I will remember the most. Just very unique landscape and seeing the northern lights at 2am while sitting in a hot tub was a major bucket list moment

I went to Italy like 1.5 years ago and it was amazing. Don't go in the summer though it's hot as shit. My cousin has been to Spain and it honestly looks boring. The only thing about Italy is they need more variety in their food they eat to much of the same shit. I was ready to leave after like 5 days just to get some new food.

So you would recommend Italy for a dark skinned brotha from the States?

I'm semi-dark skinned. So yes. Everyone was very kind to me. It's expensive though man. I thought having a base in Florence and then taking the train everywhere was a good idea but it was very expensive. I was shocked at how much I spent.

If I had to do it again I'd probably start in venice and work my way down to florence, rome, etc. Probably save a good thousand or more doing it that way.

you can go to Vietnam & Thai in one trip since they're close together. Also same for Italy & Greece.

Japan you'd need a separated trip, many interesting and places there to explore.

I could do Italy and Greece in one trip but I’d probably want to see Venice, Florence and of course Rome. Maybe if I was doing 10 days instead of 5 or 6 I could kill two birds

for 5-6 days better to stay in one country. I'd do Phuket, Thailand, you can party hard, relax in a resort or beach, massages, snorkelling and cheap tattoo easily within those days

I'd go for Japan or Thailand. Especially if you will spend at least a week there. I have sadly never been to Japan, but there seems to be so much to see and do over there. It is probably at the top of the destinations I want to visit.

5 or 6 days for Asia isn't a great idea. That trip and the jet lag will destroy you for a few days, especially if you're not used to it.

Do Italy and go to Rome/Florence/Venice. We did Florence and Rome for a week a few years ago and it worked out well.

You’re right about Asia. I would need at least 10 days because those first two days will be exhausting. I’m getting older and need rest more than anything

Depends where you already been, what you want to see/do and if you plan to go with others or not. I'm biased because I love Asia, but Japan is one of my favorite destinations. I vote going there and see if you can stretch out the trip as long as possible. You could cover Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto in <2 weeks. Just depends on your pace. If you don't feel like doing Asia this time, then just do Italy. You can cover so many cities in a short period and it's one of my favorite counties I've visited throughout Europe.
