International What country is doing things right?

Everyone's criticizing the US, but I can't name a country that is doing things right. I used to think of Switzerland but I watched the Pete Santinello travel video on Youtube and saw they have their own very serious problems over there. So now, I can't really think of a single country.

Every place has its problems, but any country that has universal healthcare is way ahead of us in a big way (so every developed nation on the planet), never mind paid time off by law, paid maternity/paternity leave, better infrastructure, etc. The US is headed down the 2nd or 3rd world road, we'll see if we can reverse course.

The US System has issues... big issues. And it got much worse after Obamacare and premiums exploded by 3x-4x more. But Universal Healthcare is a fucking disaster.

All these countries that at one time I thought well of, now seem kind of frightening. The world is changing and not for the best it all to often seems.

I'm pleased with the direction the US is going of late. Glad to see more companies looking to move here and set up business. I hope that continues.

It's not a disaster everywhere. Canada is just fucking it up as are we at the present but the NHS was great for years.

Many countries with the best healthcare in the world have universal healthcare systems.

No one said UHC is free so put that strawman away, there's wait times in the US, insane prescription drug prices, tens of thousands of people dying every year from lack of coverage, people rationing medicine, medical debt, etc. You're flat wrong. No one said UHC was perfect. Medicare is very popular and it's just UHC for old people. It also costs less and is more effective than a private system. Medicare is the second most popular government program in the US, the first literally has Social in the name. Big issues is a catastrophic understatement.

Never heard of Obamacare, you must be referring to Romneycare, the product of the rightwing think tank The Heritage Foundation. It's okay, a lot of people get that wrong.

I'm not having a prolonged argument about this; the US system is trash and there's a reason why the rest of the world has a UHC system. I can post 1,000x the horror stories of US healthcare that you can of Canadian.
