Alot of Metallica fans got into them in the 80s with their metal albums, or in the early 90s with the Black album. I got into them with Load, Reload, GarageInc, and S&M... and most of all S&M.
I loved the vibe of a live performance with an orchestra, and I wanted another S&M album.
Unfortunately the conductor, who also wrote all the sheet music for the orchestra, Michael Kamen died in 2003 it seemed like we'd never get another S&M album.... until 20 years later...
...and S&M² sucked.
Everything from the set list, to the sound quality, to the orchestra not being in the same ballpark as Michael Kamen's perfection.
Thankfully, someone who's amazingly talented made this.... my favorite live concert that never happened.
This is my S&M².
