Malaysia

Kuala Lumpur is a great city to visit, can definitely spend a few days here. There's enough to do that you won't get bored for at least 3 days. The Petrona Twin Towers, KL tower, the mosques, Batu Caves an hour away.

Penang is awesome, great place for food.

Melacca is a unesco heritage city. Beautiful place

I've never been there myself but isn't Borneo part of Malaysia? That would be interesting if you're into rainforests.

Part of Borneo is. I've heard that it's a bit out of the way right now because most people have been flying into Singapore or someplace on the mainland to visit. Something about Malaysia airlines being the worst airline ever.

Japan was nice, though I barely got to leave the base. South Korea was really fun for the year I was there. Good people.

More practical to recommend specific cities as your experience in different ones varies drastically. Kyoto and Tokyo for example, for me, was A polar opposite of one another when I visited.
