As in, when you backed a fighter not supported by the majority or downplayed by a large vocal fanbase and the results proved you right? Besides the obvious recent Cupcake stuff, I remember when Gus fans argued that Cormier fighting Jones was a waste of time and only Gus was even worthy to fight Jones... being on the Cormier side of that argument, it was great to be vindicated later when 'unworthy' DC beat Gus. Another is when at the height of Cain's supposed invincibility, I argued that Werdum and Barnett had a good chance of defeating Cain which was laughed at by many... by the time Cain actually fought Werdum, a lot of negativity had built up towards Cain causing Sherdog's opinion to shift a lot towards being more even, but it was still sweet.
What are your times where your support of an 'unworthy' fighter according to the crowd proved fruitful?
