Best opening scene to any movie is the first scene of Way of the Gun. It is awesome . . . it is hilarious . . . fuck anyone who disagrees.

A little Sarah Silverman goes a long way for me, but I'll hear stories about how game she is.

Way of the Gun was the first thing I thought of when I saw the thread tittle. The best part is knowing that the movie takes a moral nose dive from there. I don't think there was a character with multiple lines that I didn't think was a monster.

This is how much of a geek I am. That image does not go with that opening. The gold tone poster is from the Directors Cut, which is arguably better than the theatrical version. But it sadly doesn't include the business with the drunk doctor, which is one of the best moments in either version.

I made my wife watch Payback after talking it up and she didn't even want to make the attempt. She loved that movie by the end. I love that last line as they drive away "We went for breakfast... in Canada. We made a deal; if she'd stop hookin', I'd stop shooting people... Maybe we were aiming high."

Top Gunk with the F14's being launched from the carrier with the soundtrack was pretty cool. Didn't care for much for the movie plot.

I like Anthony Edwards as Gilbert in Revenge of the Nerds more than Goose.
