What are Jon Jones' fighting styles?

The amount of butt-hurt responses from a normal question is pretty hilarious.

"Hey, how tall is Jon Jones?"

"He's CHEATER-foot kick people-in-the-leg inches tall! #JonJonesMakesMeSoMad"
People here act like Jones is the only fighter that used PEDs. Spoiler alert, he's just dumb to get caught.

General kickboxing at range
Muay thai(clinch, knees, elbows)/greco roman if you close the distance
Freestyle wrestling if he wants to take it to the ground

I don't know if his default striking style can be categorized as muay thai or not. He doesn't seem to use the guard that guys in muay thai use.

"Look" and "See" are the same thing/redundant so it is kind of a bummer no one had the IQ or balls to tell Jon that it made no sense so he could come up with something better all those years ago.

2019 called they want their opinion back

Didn't Jones fight the top LHW contender and most dangerous guy in 2020??

You Jones haters are really reaching here. It's like a comedian who's just running out of material and washed up.

He has lookseedo + greco base

But he mastered gaidojutsu under Greg
I wonder if people realize that lower body attacks are not allowed in Greco, even though those are some of Jones' most potent moves.

According to JJ, he embodies the spirit of martial arts, what it truly means to be a martial artist... that he'd give up an arm, an eye, a leg, but he would do that not to lose a fight... and so, there's nothing stopping him from coming round after round with his most malicious techniques. He said he aimed for Thiago Santos' knee because it's a malicious game. He was taught that he needs to be malicious in the fights. The fighters were trying to give him brain damage those nights, they were trying to take years of his life... so he sees it as a malicious thing, if the opponent gets limping for the rest of his life, ok, as long as it was able to prevent him from getting KO'd, that's fine to him.

He also uses a wrist control, strong wrist control technique to press against the cage and wear the opponent down. Sinc his reach is long, he mastered grabbing both wrists at the same time with strong positioning technique to make it hard for the opponent to free their hands... then using his long reach to throw elbows, kicks to the legs, fainting certain movements to hit with a spinning elbow... and he's very cautious defensively. He doesn't hesitate backing down and running a little farther in situations the opponents catch him in a blitz. He manages to avoid punches to the face with good front hand distance management and keeping the distance when the opponents rush too close to him, sometimes giving his back for a split second and then attacking again, with a high back kick or an elbow/punch. He switches stances a lot and has a lot of variation in combos, kicks from many positions, has a really varied combination combo.

"winning fights"

and

"not quitting in a fight"

Late in the Gustafson and Reyes fights, he was landing shit that you would not want to get hit with.

Meh. It is what it is.

Ah yeah you mean the Reyes fight which he lost, I forgot that was 2020, my bad

Allow me to edit my contribution to this thread then, ever since 2020* he’s become an expert at ducking.

Why try a discussion rematch with me when you’ve made a fool out of yourself earlier this week though?

Lost?? Could have sworn he won that fight and defended the belt, and then relinquished it. I think he only lost that fight in the mind of delusional Jones haters.

Made a fool?? LOL, you mean I pretty much shut up the entire peanut gallery. None of you clowns had any answer for what I said. I am happy to go at it with you again. But it will the same old story, you come in with wacky conspiracy theories while I present facts and then you put your tail between your legs and flee.
