What am i not getting with Joe Rogan and crew' as comedians?

Joe Rogan and the crew of his which consists of Tom Segura, Bert Kreisher, Schaub, Callen etc. They are comedians, yet they just aren't particularly funny from the standup i have seen of theirs. Does anyone else here find them less funny than they first imagined?
I think he even makes comedians less funny like shane gillis and theo von they all were better before getting into the Rogan-verse.

I actually love Normand, Dillon, and Gillis. The rest are meh at best. Though Callen does a great job at playing the whipping post on podcasts. Good wingman.
Tbf, they are the new crop of comedians. Infinitely better than the Rogan's and Kreischer's when they were at the same point in their careers.

I find Joe to be quite funny on-the-fly during normal conversations (podcast). Redban is hilarious in that regard too. Ari's stand-up is great.

I powered through like 30 mins of Rogan's stand-up and it wasn't good at all. He should stick to the podcast stuff.

I've never understood why Rogan is a professional comedian. I've never come across someone who enjoyed his stand up at all. It's less funny than just coworkers or friends sitting around shooting the shit.

I'd say Shane Gillis is the funniest of the Rogan crew guys that I've heard. Chris Delia was funny years ago but I think his creativity and schtick had a short run. Same with Segura.

Rogan was successful because of Fear Factor/MMA and most importantly his podcast(which mainly became popular because Rogan didn't speak that much and let people talk). Rogans success has nothing to do with standup comedy. But his podcast gives him a massive platform to promote himself and all his friends.

Also I think Rogan has gradually shifted the definition of comedian to essentially mean podcaster and these things have almost kinda merged in the culture.

And they're the best comedians of the 2000-2010 era. I haven't heard anything of Louis in years but I've listened to Dave and burr and they're husks. At least burr is still funny though. Who are the new killer comedians? Doesn't seem to be any. I did like Normands special though, and I find Stavros funny.

Shane Gillis is on top right now for me. Try checking him out. I thought Tim Dillon would be good but his special was just ok and his Rogan jokes were corny.

IMO they are kinda funny but not on the same level as guys like Carlin, Russell Peters, Daniel Tosh, etc.
