Definitively an obnoxious comment to say publicly. I get her point and we all kind of agree, but it's classless to say openly.

I think this is a pretty blatant example of racism, by some fat ignorant hick but i'll be totally honest here.

I've always thought Mrs. Obama does kind of have a Charleston Heston Planet of the Apes look.

If there wasn't a historical connection between being black and being called a "monkey" there'd probably be a lot more references. I think she's more of an Orangutan which I guess does classify as belonging to the great ape family.

I remember when George Bush was lambasted up and down as "Curious George" not only because people thought he was dumb but because of his ears, wrinkles, and beady eyes he does kind of resemble a chimpanzee.

99 times out of a 100 the reference is probably racist but not always.

anyways thats about it. theres a point in there somewhere.

There are images comparing her and you can see some resemblances. But it isn't something you would say in this particular case.
