First Official Trailer for WEREWOLF BY NIGHT; Premieres Oct. 7, 2022

The set up - a group of people gather in a mansion, trying to figure which of them is the Werewolf before it kills them all - strongly reminds me of the 1974 movie. The Beast Must Die.

I am pretty sure I saw a leak about plot that they gather for the Man-Thing, not for the Werewolf.

I know absolutely nothing about this, but that looks fun. I just hope for a cool werewolf design, that always gets messed up. I think my favorite is still Van Helsing

Fuck it I'm in for the same reasons.

I'm still waiting for a good white wolf style werewolf: the apocolypse video game but I don't think that's happening.

If the whole thing is black and white, lame.

I liked the old school network TV "SPECIAL" graphic.

So there's that.

Really loving the Universal Classic Monsters vibe they are going for. Props for Marvel Studios for doing something out (way out) of the ordinary.
Thought that was him. They need more things like this. They should have a Marvel “Dark” with some of their more macabre titles.

Marvel should use this to show Universal how to do a Dark Universe franchise and to launch a serious of old school horror monster flicks. I think there absolutely would be a market for that.

First Reactions for Marvel Studios' WEREWOLF BY NIGHT; Man-Thing Reportedly Stealing the Show

Unfortunately, first reactions tend to be about as reliable as a politician's campaign promises:rolleyes: I'll temper my expectations until we get some unbiased reviews.

Having said that, unless I hear this thing stinks on ice, I'll probably watch it. I love Halloween, and I'm a sucker for Werewolves:D

It depends on viewers' expectations. If people are educated and expecting this to be similar to the 1950s Hammer horror films or the Universal Classic Monsters, then that is the correct mindset going in on this.

If people are expecting this to be similar to An American Werewolf in London or Dog Soldiers or any relatively modern gory horror movies, then the problem lies on them.

Hasn't been a decent werewolf movie since American Werewolf In London, and even that werewolf isn't the kind of werewolf we want (I'm assuming we all want a Lon Cheney Jr meets Underwold werewolf (I lean more heavily toward LCJr, which is what Werewolf By Night is based on)), so I expect this to be better than we've seen in 30 years
