Were you disappointed with Faber's performance?

Against Dominic Cruz.

The last round he did nothing.

Bisping/Tate saw their opportunity and they fucking went for it. Tate was losing the fight and pulled off the submission in the final minute of the fight. She could quite easily have got headkicked into oblivion trying to get a takedown.

Faber did the same in the Edgar fight, content to lose by decision rather than take chances.

Do you even want to see Faber/Dillashaw? Same thing will happen. Dillashaw out points him while Faber's content to lose on points, pick up the cheque and retire comfortably.

Very, but lets not pretend the guy hasn't been showing his age in recent fights. I was hoping that was merely lack of motivation or something to that extent, but it's becoming obvious that Faber is slowing a step.

Still, the guy will be remembered as a legend and pioneer of the lower weight classes (as well as the face of the WEC).

I'm not surprised by his performance.

I'm not impressed by his performance

is Normal

I figured he would lose, but I thought he'd put on a better performance than that. I was hoping for a gutsy "go for it" 48-47 win by cruz where faber at least showed moments of brilliance. not a "faber has nothing for him" shutout

He brought what he had to bring & Dom is a handful for anyone.

Walk into the sunset while you still have your health & take Hendo with you.

Legendary Careerz!

Faber is just old now and he needs to retire. I'm not surprised at all by what i saw....

One of the only times I am really bothered by a fighter is when they are clearly down going into the last round and they still play it safe.

His performance was pretty much what most expected I'd say.

This. You'd figure if you were losing 4 rounds you'd step it up in the 5th, not do the exact same shit, or worse, just stop fighting. I hate on Tate all the time but at least she stepped up in the last round.

his performance was dogshit i would think that he would put himself in more trouble attacking instead of waiting for openings against dominicik fucking cruz...lmoa please re-run dillasaw vs cruz

Faber made lower weight classes exciting. Such a powerful explosive dude

I liked his 1st round ... but he clearly felt that big punch early in the 2nd round.
I liked his sportsmanship towards Cruz and allthough i totaly understand Dominick´s perspective , i was disapointed Cruz didnt show much respect to Faber after the fight was done.

Once he found out Cruz can hurt him, Faber didn't really fight to win anymore.

You can't fight better than your opponent allows you to. Cruz was the superior figher and shut Faber down.
Playing it safe cuts both ways, after Cruz established that he was the better fighter what chances did he take to finish the fight?, he played it safe for confortible decision win.

Agree with the above comments.

Faber came out with both guns blazing in the first.

After Dom decked him, he went into self-preservation mode. He wasn't fighting to win, he was fighting to not get hurt.

Dom wanted to keep his belt more than Urijah wanted to take it.

Yes but it's what I expected. Faber never seems to have a back up plan, or a sense or urgency when he's behind. He just looks confused. At least go for it...

Of course I was, I wanted him to beat Dom but he got his ass handed to him. I however don't think he choked. He was outclassed and was paralyzed by Dom's style. I hate Dom's elusiveness as much as I hated Machida's when he was on top. That being said, it's effective and hard to pull the trigger against and when Faber pulled the trigger nothing was there except for the occasional Cruz counter. Faber did his best and lost nothing to be ashamed of but disappointed, yes.

Wasn't a whole lot more he could do considering he had to chase his opponent the entire fight.

Despite that he did pretty well, Cruz very clearly won 4/5 rounds, but fight was still closer than the dillishaw fight imo
