I remember how exciting it was when the UFC signed a deal with Fox and people thought it would finally break through to the mainstream.

Then we found out they were only having 5 events on Fox a year and the other events would be on hard to find channels. How do you expect newcomers to be able to get attached and follow it?

Fox screwed the pooch and they never cared about it.

I knew when Curt Menefee and Jay Glazer started doing the bigger shows that UFC was screwed. FOX wanted something UFC fans couldn't relate too that is why Joe Rogan wanted nothing to do with it

No. Fox isn’t the one making the shitty watered down cards with amateur level wmma.

I hated how they had that black guy that seemed forced on and knew nothing about MMA. Fuck that douche.

Disappointed that the UFC saw the deal as an advertisement block for their PPVs and nothing more.

Channel hopping and preempted events were annoying as hot piss. More so the preempted events, as oft I had to catch it a few hours or a day out.

I think most had expectations that just were not going to be reached with Fox. It was an upgrade over Spike for the UFC. I liked the many Fox sports channels allowed for programs to be viewed at various times. There wasn't as many events on main Fox with most on FS1 or FX. That was a bummer. Fox though got out of the deal lots of programming which what they wanted. I wonder what will take the place now in those slot with the UFC leaving.

That's not really correct use of the word preempt.
3. to take the place of because of priorities, reconsideration, rescheduling, etc.; supplant: The special newscast preempted the usual television program.

I dunno seemed apt, tho I guess ran over is more accurate.

Mmmm. The old third rung definition. Those are always weird.

KB and Bisping were good, most other Fox coverage was pure cringe.

nah, they did the best they could with it. either it catches on or it doesn't.

I thought it was great. It was the ufc that didnt take advatage of the opportunity but now that its been sold, i wouldnt count on the quality getting better anytime soon even with espn
