Not just a specimen (though he was), Hershel Walker was the best athlete to step into a cage. The problem was it was too late to make waves--he was well into his 40s. But in his athletic prime (1980s) he was a great NFL running back who had near Olympic-level sprinting speed at like 230 pounds. He competed (and did well) in the multi-sport "Superstars" competition until his late 30s, too. For his age and lack of experience, he did well in MMA...but didn't fight anyone worth mentioning.
