What's the story behind this inane "look"? That's become his signature, no?

Ummmmm, bc Serra got beat up??? He was supposed to get beat up. Werdum was on a roll, and couldve been a legit champion, until he literally sprinted around the cage chasing Stipe with his chin completely up in the air.Serra vs GSP 2?
This. People forget the context before the fight: NOBODY gave Stipe a chance. All the talk leading to the fight was centered around Werdum being the HW GOAT. Stipe was view as a good but beatable heavyweight, and the UFC treated him as such. Overeem, JDS, and Ngannou all got big promotional pushes by the UFC, but all fell short.Werdum was landing shots at will on Stipe... Stipe honestly had no answer for Werdum's muaythai... so Werdum got carried away and forgot he was fighting a HW boxer... and got caught running forward.
Werdum simply got arrogant. He was on a tremendous roll at that point, and his striking was working for him even against strikers.
If he fought like he did against Fedor, Stipe wouldn't have gotten that belt... but woulda coulda shoulda... easy to get carried away at the top.
he just barely started training striking with mirko crocop during his fight with sergei lmao.Werdum -Stipe should have been a war.
most of werdums losses (sergei, overeem) are from him not trusting his striking. When he does trust it, he can hang with Hunt on the feet.
Yeah, it was pretty embarrassing for Werdum to run like that with his chin up.
It's the troll face memeWhat's the story behind this inane "look"? That's become his signature, no?
His striking had improved a lot, and he was winning fights with that skillset, and it seems like he became enamored with an inflated sense of how good it had actually become.I cant remember any other champion running like he had some extra chromosome facebutting the fist of the opponent like Fabrício did.
The guy was on roll, but that totally putting him out of any HW goat list.

But, yeah, chasing someone, around, face first, arms splayed wide seemed pretty insane to me, and still does.
Aldo was mentally affected by Conor's mind games. Werdum was just cocky and had spent more time trolling than training.Jose Aldo vs McG was close.
Shogun vs Jones.
I know, but it showed a tendency that would reappear several times in his career. And aside from Stipe it wasn’t that he actually got out struck.he just barely started training striking with mirko crocop during his fight with sergei lmao.
Yeah he was supposed to lose. But he didn't even try. To go from that legendary win to pretty much quitting before the rematch started is pathetic.Ummmmm, bc Serra got beat up???
