whos scarier and more skilled on the ground

simple question

Werdum was better in pure BJJ but Mir may have been better at fast, explosive subs that seem to come out of nowhere.

Anthony Pettis was also good at those. He subbed Bendo, Gilbert Melendez and Oliveira long before he got his BJJ black belt.

It was a shame we never got to see Werdum vs. Mir or Werdum vs. Josh Barnett.

Mir and Barnett did fight but none of it happened on the ground except maybe a little GnP at the end when Mir was already hurt.

In straight BJJ I'd take Werdum. In MMA they were pretty equal. Mir broke Nogs arm and Werdum triangled the goat.
to be fair Nog was washed that point and Werdum couldnt do submit Nog the first time they fought

Mir was only a little younger than Nog and had taken hellacious beatings from Lesnar and Carwin before that fight (in addition to earlier beatings and a terrible motorcycle accident). I think Nog was probably a bit more washed, but neither were in their primes.

Credentials it's Werdum, not even close. Still wanted to see this fight in MMA though, definitely one of those that got away.

Straight bjj werdum . How they never fought in mma still drives me crazy

Werdum easily based on credentials but MMA is a weird thing man, wish we could have seen it.

Remember when blue belt Kevin Burns triangled Pan-Am champ Roan Carneiro? Remember when Mir at purple belt tapped out world ADCC and IBJJF world champ Roberto Traven?

Pettis was great. Fun to watch. Great career.

The short list of guys who own a "I subbed Charles Oliveira" belt:

Islam, Pettis, Lamas.

And JFM with a kneebar!

You mean HW goat, right? As far as I remember, Werdum was knocked out

Werdum but Mir had gorilla strength, Werdume is more technical
I think strength was one of Frank's weaknesses tbh. Hes lost due to just getting out muscled. Even when he bulked up he wasn't that strong, never really seen him just take someone down outright.

Who’s better at Jiu-jitsu werdum. Who’s scarier. Mir. Mir has way more technical submissions on his resume and has a meaner approach to subs. I would rather have werdum on my arm than mir.

Werdum would be tapping for life against Frank Mir

Charles actually got subbed a lot considering how good his Jiu Jitsu is.
