Went way over the top with a celebration (binge) meal of 10,000 calories. Help

I went over the top and celebrated my 80 pound, 9 months of clean eating, weight loss with a 10,000 calorie celebration meal. Four days after the binge I went from 187 to 193. Could it still be water weight. Based on maintenance 2600+7000 calories, the most I could have gained was 2 pounds. And I have only been eating 1700 calories since the binge. Do you think it is water weight or weight gain or glycogen?

You gained 1.23lb. The rest is most likely from water retention and excess glycogen, maybe even fibre if you ate a crapload of Protein bars (QuestBars have 17g per bar, if you ate any of those).


You'll be fine, don't overthink it. Use the extra surplus to help yourself in the gym. The energy provided should be a nice small boost. Everyone falls off their horse once in awhile, its not the end of the world. What's important is that you don't have the mentality that because you messed up that day, you'll yolo the rest of the week, and end up in a repeat process over and over.

I'd like to think I can foot it with the best of them (for a relatively small guy) food wise. But some of the numbers I see on here blow my mind. I think the most I've every gorged on in a day was between 6-7k and I felt out and out sick after the fact. Don't know how these 10k numbers come around!

Ate about 7k from 10am - noon. Then I started feeling sick. Napped for a few hours. Stomach felt Better. took down another 1k (Krisy Kreme/Tim Hortons 6 donuts), felt sick again. Repeat until 11pm.
Basically everything all camp I was told to abstain from came in 1 day

-Pizza Hut medium pan
-6-10 donuts
-5 quest bars
-Entire box of Mrs. Fields (8 cookies)
-5-8pcs popeyes bonadifde
-assorted chocolate bars
-4 cocktails + 2 beers

It felt pretty awesome eating those, around noon, I felt like I got hit with 4 liver shots from a heavyweight. Worst part was, despite this, I was still hungry as Fuck.

End up taking epic massive explosive shits for the following 3-4 days.
 
That sounds like an epic cheat day. I wouldn't mind the weight gain, just eat normally again and train.

Too much carbs, macro is all off........throw a whole leg of lamb in.....just to get your fat and protein ratio up....

More fat than carbs, the popeyes and QBs, ensured I met my daily 1g/BW.

Great job. As a reward for losing weight you ate like a fucking pig....which is how you likely gained the 80lbs to begin with.

When you see food as a reward you are doomed to fail.

Way to be a dick. He worked hard and achieved some pretty epic weight loss. So he chose to blow off some steam with all the foods he couldn't have for one day after 9 months, no reason to give him crap.

Well done TS. Just go back to what you were doing pre cheat day and don't worry about it. Congrats on the weigh tloss.

Thank you for all of your advice, especially J123. That was really great advice, and you were right, I actually went below the weight I was a week ago, I was relieved to weigh 1 pound less than I did before the binge one week later. Also, you have the funniest profile picture of all time. Also, thank you Contempt and XpinkX.
 
Not a big fan of lamb. Lisa Carrington and Sarah Walker made beef far more enticing
