if the wrestling cancels out, khamzat is getting pieced in the feet fitch-like
also gsp can sustain his wrestling offense way longer than khamzat
after the first round it would be another takedown show by gsp

Roided Hendricks was better IMO; guys like Hendricks or Lawler (who GSP didn't fight) would have been tough matchups for Khamzat because they have wrestling plus a striking game that is levels above Khamzat (a combination not often seen today, especially at WW; those guys would beat Belal).

Serra got a low probability win that night (see rematch), which changes the odds for those kinds of comparisons. The same is true with Anderson when it comes to Takase and Chonin- being able to beat those guys doesn't mean you are anywhere close to Anderson.

I wouldn't call GSP a lock as in a total certainty to win, but at WW, Khamzat has a really weak cardio and low level striking, so I think GSP would be the clear favorite. It might be different at MW because GSP is not a big WW; he walks around at 185.

Usman is like the #2 WW of all time maybe #3 if you have Hughes there. But right now you have JDM, Shavkat, Belal on some decent win streaks. And Leon, Garry, and Brady basically only have 1 loss in a long win streak. Usman would probably wipe them up in his prime, but he's got tons of mileage and can't really wrestle like he used to.
