The rest are decision wrestlers and half lack charisma. Usman is the coolest of that bunch and is the champ at least

Yes. The top fighters rarely fight. The champ is always cherry-picking his next fight. Always looking for a money fight. I see very little legitimacy in most of the shit that happens in the top 5 of that division. And I really hope someone can really break through and cause some waves.

The only good thing I can say about Usman is he’s active. I just wish he was fighting the next guy in line. And I sure as shit don’t mean Masvidal and Colby.

There hasn't been a clear next in line since Burns and still isn't. Masvidal and Colby were made because of money and Dana cumming in his pants over Usman vs Colby 1. the 1st fight was pretty damn good but Dana really, really, really loves it for some reason.

Usman has zero sway and will be fighting Khamzat after he beats Micky Gall or washed and unranked Lawler or Maia.

WW is a shadow of what it used to be. Pick any time from about 2007 to 2017 and it was way more interesting with a higher percentage of great fighters than what it is now. Remember Lawler? GSP? Hendricks? Condit? MacDonald? Even Hughes?

"GSP is boring" and "WW sucks" was posted all the time during his reign. Johny Hendricks became a folk hero for KO'ing Fitch and then losing a controversial decision against St. Pierre because a lot of people thought Fitch and GSP were going to decision everyone until they finally got old.

Now I gotta say I'm all about the fights and not so much about the personalities but WW stinks at the moment

At the top we have Usman, Colby, Belal, Leon, Khamzat. Easily 5 of least likeable and in some cases boring fighters on the roster (maybe not Khamzat as a lot of folks like him, I personally can't stand him but each to their own.)

Then there's Burns and Luque who are cool but not especially close to a TS (although Luque should be)

Outside of that there's Neal, Chiesa and Brady (who didn't exactly set the world on fire getting pieced up on the feet by Chiesa)

There's solid action fighters like the Leech, Ponz and Masvidal but overall I'd say WW stinks at the moment.

Colby ruined it. He sucks, but he blows trump hard enough that it makes Dana whites balls fill up so he keeps getting title shots, meanwhile the division is stagnating all around while Usman beats up a fucking pro wrestling gimmick. Nobody wants to watch that shit.

Obviously it is better than LHW and HW. I wouldn't say it is weaker than MW either. Yeah weaker than LW, but everything is.

Clusterfuck at the top does not necessarily imply the whole division is weak. Besides yeah, WW is statistically populated enough (meaning the # of males training who fit into that category) that the future will always bring promising fighters. Hell, even before the next generation comes around we already have a promising future seeing guys like Khamzat, Shavkat, and Vicente.

Also... Khamzat vs Usman in 2022 would break the WW title fight PPV record IMO.
