We weren't close. We've barely spoken two words in a decade but obviously my parents are not doing well.

I dunno... I don't want to wake friends up at 0300 am so the assholes of sherdog will have to do.

I normally wouldn't have said anything but I was drunk in the middle of the night and I guess I wanted to talk to someone about it.

Alone in a filthy apartment, with three cats, found after three or four days. Had some health problems but had always abused prescription medication. Certainly not a shock
 
My condolences. Same thing happened to me. My sister was also in her 40's and she used so much meth that she wrecked her brain.

She wound up dead in some vacant lot. Still don't know if she overdosed or died from heat stroke or what. The only consolation was that I'd already lost both parents so they didn't have to live through the pain of losing a daughter.

Yeah I saw that at the time. Sucks to lose people like that.

My parents live downstairs in a granny flat kind of area and I had to go get them and bring them up to talk to the cops... that was just three hours of shit.
