Met a Furry once at a KMFDM concert. A KMFDM concert full of rivetheads and there was a fucking Furry there. He was like a fish out of water. Needless to say I could understand while he was left alone. I tried to dodge the fucker all night but he was flirting with my chick buddy lol..

He even showed us pictures he took dressed up as a pink bunny rabbit on his cell phone cause we didn't believe him. They are fuckin' wierd.

Also don't like bronies (so damn annoying), guidos and juggalos too.

But....dont you guys over there, class 'hipsters' as anyone who's into a sub-culture? Coz anyone into a sub-culture, is deliberately avoiding mainstream culture - so hipsters are goths, skaters, punks, metallers, hiphoppers, artists, any fucker without 2.4 children and a mortgage, then?

Bit too much of a blanket term, that.


Also, love people naming stuff like goths, hip-hoppers before, I don't know.....crushing? (women trampling small animals to death), men dressed as giant babies? plushies?

Seriously, if a goth is weird, think about how weird the subcultures are that don't even venture into public.

EDIT - After mulling over the 'hipster' term some more, and looking at how these people you call Hipsters in the U.S dress.....I am still clueless.

Some of them resemble underground hip-hop fans - dress a bit preppy, listen to instrumental hiphop or Flying Lotus or something. Some resemble hardcore kids (punk hardcore, that is) - skinny jeans, white t-shirt, shitloads of sleeve tattoos and massive flesh tunnels.

Others just look like beatnik/arty types. But over here, I'd just refer to them as 'arty farty types'. Scarves indoors and all that jazz. Over here, these guys would never go to a dubstep or drum n bass night, coz drug-taking is for the 'riff-raff'. I guess things work a bit differently over there!

The thing about hipsters that annoys a lot of people is the fact that they're older and not confined to high school as most of the cliche subcultures are. In high school, kids are trying to find themselves and figure out who they are as a person. They might be goth, skaters, jocks, stoners, rockers, hip hop etc etc. That's fine and dandy because you're a young kid.

There are kids I went to high school with that are coming up on 30. When I look at their facebooks, they're wearing vintage budweiser shirts with pants they cut off into shorts, with funky colored plaid socks, weird shoes and a cigarette in their ear. It's just like time to grow the fuck up. You're almost 30, why do you feel the need to "express yourself" to the world? At that age you should be comfortable with who you are and you shouldn't feel the need to have to stand at the top of a mountain shouting "Look at me, I'm different!".

I totally get not wanting to be a part of mainstream society but it's funny to me that they choose to look exactly like a million other hipsters while still holding on to this idea that they're somehow different. Yeah you're all different while somehow managing to all be exactly the same.

So i was riding to the gas station near my house yesterday, and this weird ass tsll ginger dungeons and dragons dude was just standing on the sidewalk. Before i pass him, he busts out these exact same moves and then starts laughing. He wasn't looking at me or anything, and had this look on his face like he was in his own little world. He stood there for a second and then did it again, laughing again. I think he was a tard.
