Weight bullies

These pics always make me laugh. Brings back memories of Conor nuthuggers thinking he’s a natural FW and jumped 2 weight classes up to challenge himself, he just hasn’t cut weight lol. He looks fresh out of Auschwitz camp here.

I think there's a difference between someone who is chubby (Kelvin Gastelum or DC for example) and someone who weight bullies.

Kelvin's frame is small even for WW yet he can't even make WW.
I agree with what you’re presenting, but I do think both your examples have torso frames that make up for their lack of height.

Love that everyone thinks Khabib is a weight bully lol. He's missed weight only once whereas Charles Oliveira has missed weight 5 times.
Khabib missed weight once but pulled out because of a failed weight cut that had him hospitalized. Which IMO is a WAY worse look than missing weight 5 times in 2 classes. Atleast charles moved up from the class he missed more.

not defending Charles. I think his weight issues are attrocious. Personally, to see his title get taken from him that way did not upset me considering his history, very hard to be symapthetic for him.

I can see and even understand that point. Fair enough.

How the fuck is that "WAY worse look"?

Yeah, Oliveira was such a big weight bully at featherweight that once he moved up to lightweight, he was still struggling to make weight and even missed once there.

I mean, Oliveira, at one point, took a fight on short notice at featherweight and, in my opinion, knew he was going to miss weight but still agreed because it was against someone ranked above him. He literally missed weight by a full weight class.

Can't believe that there are some Oliveira fans that actually think he tried to make weight here.

<Lmaoo>

It's way worse because he has to cut SO much weight, That it left him hospitalized. He literally couldn't even make it to the scale to miss weight, that's how much of a weight bully he is.

Charles is a joke at weight cutting. I'm not defending him but atleast he shows up. 9 pounds against lamas is crazy though. Never understand why he's one of sherdogs sweethearts.

You either regain 20lbs more than your opponent or you don't.
I kind of disagree. I've seen times where "they both made weight" does not equate to a level playing field come fight time. I'm not crying foul or fighter hating, but it's reasonable to point out the disparity if it exists. Every factor counts in a fight, and if it's problematic, I would blame the rules not the fighter.

It doesn't exist though, because they both made weight. Everyone's body reacts to cutting weight differently, some cut easy, some gain back fast. If both come in same weight on the scale the same, there is no disparity.

Another time he wasn't even able to make it to the scales he was so sick from cutting weight. Also the scales didn't balance before the Gaethje fight. Oliveira had a huge problem at 145 but at 155 his only weight miss was because the fighter scale was messed with.

Worse term weight bullies or rank squatters?
Weight bullies is a far worse term. Refusing to risk your place in the rankings is an actual issue, as compared to the fact that a bunch of sherdoggers think people 'look' bigger than they are despite them making the weight. So stupid.

Doesn't matter, Oliveira has still missed weight more than 3 times.

When have Conor or Alex Pereirra missed weight or pulled out last minute?

(such that it would stand to reason they did so due to weight cut)
