No, it will not be a factor in the fight, and Weidman is actually not the first undefeated fighter Anderson has fought. Sakurai was undefeated and considered to be #1 P4P by many when he lost to Anderson.Do you think this will be a factor at all? Most undefeated fighters are full of confidence, but sometimes their overconfidence brings them their first loss. I understand Weidman has never faced anyone close to Andersons caliber, but I dont think he is overconfident. I believe he is completely aware of the dangers Silva brings and will fight a smart fight. Hopefully it is good!
I love that a week ago before the fight was announced tons of people said Chris would smash Anderson. Now that the fight is on, these guys are no where to be found.
I really don't get it why is Weidman so special? What are his best wins... Munoz, Maia?
Leben was 15-1 when he fought Silva, didn't seem to do him any favors.
And that he's beaten every guy put in front of him?
By the way, who has Anderson beaten in his reign that's so much more impressive? Sonnen is the easy answer, but Maia handled him (keep in mind styles make fights, Weidman would have a huge edge). How good was Rich really?
Stephan Bonnar, Patrick Cote, and Thales Leites?

Because you're uneducated, you know nothing, you should probably be barred from discussing anything related to Weidman.
To most fans, he's just a guy who elbowed a 'fat Munoz' but in reality he's much more.
Defeated two of the top Light Heavyweight's in college wrestling and no, Anderson is not on the same level as Bader and Davis when it comes to wrestling.
And not only that but Weidman impressed many four years ago at ADCC with a year of formal ju-jitsu training, Weidman is very good on the ground and Silva will not have the advantage he had against Sonnen he is in real danger of losing a decision or even being submitted here.
But alas, so many people are simply uninformed and uneducated when it comes to Chris Weidman it just amuses me when I see people say "What's he done? Elbow Munoz?" No, Weidman is so much more than a guy who 'elbowed a fat Munoz'
Does he beat Anderson? Who knows, but all of these people who are counting him out, you may wind up with egg on your face, he's the biggest threat to Anderson's throne.
None of those accolades mean shit in MMA.
Of course they don't...
I guess Daniel Cormier's accomplishments in Olympic Wrestling mean nothing either.
Overeem was a K-1 champ. Knocked out by a ground specialist.
Hendo was an olympian and has been outwrestled quite a few times.

"Sakuraba"
I think coming off an injury and not having fought in 9 months will be a factor. He needs a tune up fight.
