No evidence to suggest Namond became a liar.
His last scene was just him in a school performing well at a debate.
That said, Clay Davis' position is hard to scoff at from Bey's position.
Namond's character is revealed quite well; he's a poser, big time. He lacks character, and hides behind his father's reputation.
There's nothing "behind his words" as Michael points out while they're looking at jewelry and discussing how Namond got played by Canard.
