I also like Slim Charles.

The ending where he clipped cheese for being a cocksucking snitch was a good scene.

He nearly got offed by Omar, and in the end is running the entire org. dat success story

Snitch? Who Cheese snitch on.

Omar was a snitch. He ass even testafied in open court.

Wee Bey.

Don't confuse Chris being more vicious as being a better enforcer.

Wee Bey was doing his thing a lot longer than Chris.

Yea Wee Bee went down but it essentially wasn't his fault, Little Man fucked up and he took all the heat too get the rest of his crew off the hook.

Chris let his emotions get the best of him which led to his downfall.

Wee Bey was an enforcer a lot longer and would have still been doing his thing if it wasn't for Little Man.

Cheese sold out Prop Joe (Slim Charle's boss) to Marlo

Joe was holding Cheese back. Cheese did what he needed to do to move up. Just like slim made the move to Joe when Avon got locked up.

Cheese was Randy's dad I think. They never address it on the show though.

The bodies in the vacants alone win it for Chris. With this, it's not even close.

That's not to mention the fact Bey's kid was literally the biggest pussy in the entire show.

Aint his fault though. The leadership in his crew just wasn't what it needed to be.

Slim was that "smart ass pawn" who made it to the other side of the board.

Lol Cheese was a disloyal dumbass that got manipulated by Marlo.

During that entire scene, I thought it would be Bodie that would make it, but he didn't.

Poot survived, but ended up working min wage at Footlocker. The only one that got out.

Seems like Joe was just holding Cheese back from getting killed.
Cheese wasn't smart. He would have ended up dead or in jail in a couple months regardless.

Did anyone else hope for an entire season after he died that little brother barksdale had actually somehow survived his strangulation and was in witness protection?
They never showed his body or even referenced his death till the 4th season.

Say what you may but he was literally the only success story in the entire show.
Like Bey himself said, why the hell would you want to do this if you could do literally anything else?

Namond basically became the new Clay Davis. It's not a success story. His story is about the perpetuation of something negative.

I'm hoping they make The Wire 2, where the elementary school kids are grown up and have their own story
  • Dukie as the new Bubbles
  • Michael as the new Omar
  • Randy as the new Avon / Marlo
  • Namond as a lawyer / upcoming politician / detective
Alongside with cameos of the old cast

No evidence to suggest Namond became a liar.
His last scene was just him in a school performing well at a debate.

That said, Clay Davis' position is hard to scoff at from Bey's position.
