Weakest resume for goat??

More than likely he just retires with a few more defenses I don't really favor any LWs from 2010 to now over him. But hey, it be what it be.

And Jon was very luck to get signed so early. Not everyone is in the right place at the right time

If he fought 3 more times, based on the bookies odds of his fights he was more likely to lose at least one of his next three than win all of his next 3. He may well have gone 3-0 but the odds were against him and champs who look unbeatable fall when you least expect. Winning that many championship fights is hard, why so few people have done it.

Either way it isn't fair just to "project" what you think Khabib could have done, you need to just judge on what his actually done.

I don't trust bookies odds lol. Outside of a flash KO I don't see him losing to Charles, Chandler, or Dariush.

And I'm not projecting anything. You mentioned that he would have lost if he fought more. I disagreed with the notion.

Purely off of what I've seen I still have him top 10.

Anyone in a GOAT discussion does not have a weak resume. Khabib was at LW and less wins due to covid and retired earlier. Other GOAT candidates have 2 division titles. Lighter weights less risk of getting KOd due to size so Khabib could better leverage his grappling. Jones takes the cake but PEDs ? Otherwise debatable on the other GOATs. For LW goat Khabib vs BJ , hard to say. Khabib had better wins in my opinion. BJ has 2 titles.

definitely didn't stick around long enough to settle anything. i don't see how you can even include him in the discussion. conor poirier gaethje are good wins for sure, but you can't beat three guys and leave and act like that was enough. he's kind of like an asterisk on the sport. maybe a goat but how can you tell.

i know right!?

its totally bizarre how many people include him in top 5-10 goats. he is barely top 20 imo.

I’d say Usman for all the ppl on here who actually rate him that high. I don’t personally think he’s a GOAT at all.
He was looking very unbeatable until the headkick KO. It’s understandable why people were high on him. But such is MMA. The best do fall when they fight long enough.

Who do you think he would have lost to stylistically?
Nobody and that passes these people off. If he staid fighting one more fight it would be he should stay one more so we see him loose

Imo there is no doubt in hell that khabib has the weakest resume in ufc history to even be considered in top 10 goat fighters ever.

I am ready to get flamed by khabib fan girls but that is ok.

I think it's easily Khabib

Even his run to the title.. 9 fights and only 2 maybe arguably 3 credible names being rda, barboza and Michael Johnson. Pretty weak competition really.
Still GOAT and smeshed yo boy

Probably Khabib. He beat maybe 4-5 top contenders and only has maybe two really high level wins over RDA and Conor. Most of the other guys beat high level all time p4p fighters, Anderson beat Dan Henderson, Jones beat DC, MM beat Cejudo, BJ beat Matt Hughes, GSP beat Hughes and BJ.

lol people just cant go 2 minutes without making a LETS SHIT ON EVERYONE WHO ISNT MY PERSONAL FAVORITE FIGHTER

You got a handful....Jones, GSP, Anderson, Fedor. It's certainly not Jones, so one of the other 3.

In my opinion Jones has had his fair share of weaker fighters on his resume too, they all got a bunch to be honest... its just the nature of the fight game I think,

also you gotta look beyond their opponents I think too, like for example how dominant they were, how many finishes etc..
