We might finally get Anderson vs Shogun

They missed the boat not having this in the UFC. From what I remember I think Shogun was on board, but Silva wasn't interested

People claim Anderson ducked shogun, even though Anderson made it clear he had zero interest in being the LHW champ and that's when shogun said he wanted that fight. Anderson said hed fight him at 185, which we all know shogun could cut too, but shogun showed no interest in that

So typical sherdog claims Anderson ducked shogun, but nothing about shogun ducking Anderson

For the record, you cant duck a fighter who doesnt even fight in the same weight class. Neither guy ducked

How? Anderson got released and Shogun has been clear that he's gonna fight out his UFC contract and retire. One fight left I think.

I could see Anderson beating him. Anderson lost a bunch of fights but he wasn't fighting against bums

This fight will be horrible. And yes. Still excited for it.

That’s a fight that needed to happen like 10 years ago.

Prime Gracie striking right there.

Let all these guys back on the juice!! Where is Congress when you need them?!!

Oscar gonna make this happen in 2022!

Love them both, but just no.

Anderson would fold him, but it would be an ugly fight with neither landing anything until Silva connects.

Let them retire.

The matching period only lasts 12 months. I imagine they'll just pull bullshit like "here's the papers" then a month later "omg what happened to the papers" then a month later "go talk to the other org again" then 12 months later.. actually we don't want to sign you. Bye!

He only has 1 fight left. It's not a coincidence they waited until he only had 1 fight left to do this, instead of at 2, or 3... and it's not a coincidence they're trying to retire (not cut) Shogun at 2, before he gets to 1 and they have to do this bullshit with him.

I'm just a drunk guy lol, I know nothing about MMA or contract negotiations or promoting. But that's what I'd do if I were Dana.

Anderson Silva has been RELEASED from him contract.

That means, there is NO CONTRACT between Anderson Silva and the UFC.

In order to have matching rights, you still need to be under contract... which means that if Anderson fought his final fight, and they agreed to a matching clause, then Anderson Silva would be a restricted free-agent, where he would be open to listen to bids from other organizations, but the UFC will have the final call should they wish to match.

So, where are you getting your WTF information from?
