I know BJ has had a wild few years in and out of the octagon and we are quick to make fun of the video of him getting KO’d, we heard about the stuff with his wife and we say he might just be a bad guy.

What if BJ legit has CTE? I know its not an excuse but I haven't heard too much mentioned about CTE, I wonder if he also has some deeper rooted issues as well, look at Aaron Hernandez, dude was carrying some dark secrets, murdered, killed himself, then was found to have CTE.

    Crazy and scary stuff man..

Could be. Chris Benoit was said to have the brain of an 85 year old with dementia from all the concussions he sustained. BJ has definitely taken enough shots in his career to have some serious CTE issues..

He was an asshole long before his downfall. Now, he’s an asshole with too much tine on his hands.

I just assume all old-school fighters have some level of CTE.

Anyone else remember that weird interview where he kept rocking back and forth like he was on something? Drugs may be a factor too.

Probably both, he always had a little attitude anyway, wanting to be the unofficial king of porch boxing in his hood, macho stuff... but the CTE is making things worse.

He was always pretty much a bum with aggression issues.
That's what happens when over the years you dont fix your behavior and dont evolve.
    Eventually you fall hard.

I saw him stumbling around an airport one time looking totally confused. Luckily, some dude that was 6'5" 280lbs with 8% body fat (looked like a typical Sherdogger) came by and helped him out.

I was totally wrong on him. Saw him at Disney CA a few years ago and he seems like a good normal dude. He was with his family so I didn’t say anything but I was behind him in line for about 15 minutes and he seemed like a normal dad. With cauliflower ears and a RVCA shirt.

I wouldn't be surprised. If anyone follows football, pay attention to Antonio Brown and how he's acting recently. Some are suspecting CTE after this hit. [IMG]
With the way BJ has been recently, could be.

Nick beat the fuck out of BJ. Watched that fight again a few days ago and was shocked with many strikes BJ ate in that fight. It's those multiple shots to the head that really fuck someone up.

A combination of CTE and years of alcohol and cocaine abuse will make anyone do some crazy shit.

No clue. It could very well be all of the above. All I know is MMA is a tough sport to be in. It could easily consume you if you let it. Maybe it's the fight mentality , the stress, drugs, etc. Look at how hard great boxers have fallen too.
