I wouldn't mind Islamophobia if it wasn't always bundled with American exceptionalism, xenophobia, jingoism, corporate greed, the Christian persecution complex, white nationalism, etc. Cautious, unbiased, nuanced, secular criticism of Islam is an extremely important thing, as it is with all religions with power and control in this world.
Criticisms of Islam as dictated by Jim Bob from Buttfuck, Alabama, who is waiting for the day he gets to stand his ground against the gays and the coloreds and prays for the opportunity to ride his mobility scooter into battle against the Hollywood libruls in the second American Civil war? A warning of Islam as propagated by corporate controlled politicians who see big money in violating Muslim homelands and killing innocent children with drones? The good Reverend Greed telling his close, personal congregation of 15 million devout Christians that Islam must be stopped so that Christians can be the cream of the crop of oppressive religions? Fuck all that. Too bad that's mostly what it is.
