Yeah it's not a phobia simply because some people are against millions of people moving in that hate our culture.

I'm no islamic scholar but from what I've heard it's the Wahhabi sect that preaches such things. I dunno, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

Maybe bombing the shit of these countries and supporting oppressive regimes are more straight answers than Soros, but what do I know.

Yeah it's more about interpretation of what is jihad, the daar of harb and all these things.

But Wahhabist, America best friends, are certainly the most fundamentalist yes.

So now you’ve changed the goalposts to “well Islam still allows this stuff whereas we don’t”. In short, you’re wrong again.
The issue of marriage is a fiqh (jurisprudence) issue and the istihan (juristic preference) is clear: there is no set age so one follows the norm of the time based on the present factors - in the modern day it would mean mid-teens to late-teens.
I believe most Muslim countries have an age of consent which is 16-18 with a minority not having a set age.

My brother currently lives in one Gulf country and my extended family in another. I have family in other parts of the Muslim world too. When I travel to visit any one of them, Id love for people like yourself to come over and visit. We see non-muslim holidaymakers and migrants all the time in the Gulf countries particularly and their experience is rarely negative from what ive seen.

The two women I work with are from Pakistan and Yemen. They have muslim friends that have stopped by our work happy hour get togethers a few times, but I didn't really talk to them and have no idea if they were also immigrants, or if they are from the U.S. I didn't talk to them much other than a bit of small talk.

My issue is more when they talk about the fact that it's simply the law (again, this is mostly Yemen I'm referring to because she's the much more vocal one who talks about how bad it is for women there) that they are beneath men in essentially every way. I agree there's good and bad people everywhere. I'm more talking about overt state sponsoring of making half the population second class citizens.

I'm a white, middle aged "wealthy" (I put it in quotes because that's how I'm defined by tax bracket, although I sure don't feel "wealthy") conservative. I see the world through my eyes. I'll be honest, I never gave the entire country of Yemen one single thought before she started at our company. But now the view I hold of it (which admittedly is shaped by one person and is possibly unfair) is that it's straight up a shitty place to live if you're a woman.

Muslims HATE women and gays and other religions, but we are supposed to embrace them with open arms? Why, that is just fucking absurd. Completely incompatible cultures. We are moving AWAY from religious zealotry in the west.

We just fucking started getting our owb religious crazies under control. We don't want to import moreof them, that don't even understand or want to be part of the culture.
