Not a Conor fan boy but I appreciated one thing a lot...he was the opposite of Floyd. Doesn't hand pick his opponents, fights at any weight he can make even if its a dangerous division for him, fights on short notices.

Yesterday proved that hand picking your fights, not going up in weight to fight dangerous fights, and not taking fights on short notice is the smarter and more responsible way to go about your career. Conor was trying to change that image that fighting that way is smart and I thought he could pull it off and possibly 'change the game'. It blew up in his face badly.

Essentially, the warrior mentality and fighting anywhere, anytime DOESNT WORK in the real world for very long. Whether you're a Conor fan or hater is irrelevant, I guarantee you starting from now all fighters will go back to the Jon Jones way of not taking fights on short notice, not going up in weight to fight another champion, etc. I hope I'm wrong but Holly and Conor proved last night why you have to pull out when your opponent gets injured.

Not sure it proved anythin other than that Holly is terrible on the ground and going up a weight class is dangerous.

personally i feel like a storm has finally cleared. one of the happier days in recent memory.

He doesn't hand pick his fights? I thought he was the one to give Nate a shot. I'm sure he'll hand pick Aldo next as well since they will think he has a mental advantage over him. Sorry Frankie.

hand picked? they chose nate over pettis and cowboy.

nate who had 10 days to prepare, an out of shape 155er.

Speak for yourself I bet $50 on Nate and I also bet on Tate.

People just can not stop hating Floyd for being undefeated. His opponents had 49 fucking opportunities to put an L on his record. Blame THEM!

Furthermore, the Sonnen fight was a set up from the word go. Anyone with a fucking brain knows it. People are MORE pissed that Jones didnt play the good little boy and bow down.

We lost because Ronda will come running back, one in a lifetime my ass. Hides from the world when holly is champ as soon as Tate gets it comes running back for what she hopes is easy win. I am happy for Tate she is a grinder and earned it. But not sure that is worth having to see all the Ronda BS again.

if they flip flop and now decide to give aldo the rematch, i'll puke. edgar or GTFO.

1. Conor handpicked Nate.

2. Holly is horrendous on the ground and reverted back to being the Holly we saw in her first two UFC fights. Greg Jackson needs to shut up with that "I told Holly to hold back on purpose."

We lost so much, you are right. We lost a carefully crafted but obviously flimsy illusion. We lost a well earned but idiotic hype train that convinced a lot of people that the obvious is meaningless... Now we can all come back to our senses and realize that weight classes matter, fighting smart matters, and talking shit is good for business, but is still just talking shit...
