Not a Conor fan boy but I appreciated one thing a lot...he was the opposite of Floyd. Doesn't hand pick his opponents, fights at any weight he can make even if its a dangerous division for him, fights on short notices.
Yesterday proved that hand picking your fights, not going up in weight to fight dangerous fights, and not taking fights on short notice is the smarter and more responsible way to go about your career. Conor was trying to change that image that fighting that way is smart and I thought he could pull it off and possibly 'change the game'. It blew up in his face badly.
Essentially, the warrior mentality and fighting anywhere, anytime DOESNT WORK in the real world for very long. Whether you're a Conor fan or hater is irrelevant, I guarantee you starting from now all fighters will go back to the Jon Jones way of not taking fights on short notice, not going up in weight to fight another champion, etc. I hope I'm wrong but Holly and Conor proved last night why you have to pull out when your opponent gets injured.
