Wow...I just watched and will never eat cow meat again..holy mackerel. My mind is no longer closed.

We are destroying the amazon (1 acer per SECOND) for cattle. 80% of deforestation is due to cattle.
Cow meat is a carcinogenic (causes cancer) and cattle is leading cause of greenhouse gases, NOT CARS! Cars are only 13%, cow farts are more than double.

The guy who made the documentary got threats from the agriculture lobby so his financial backers pulled out. One amazing Hollywood star didn't give is shit about lobby groups and put his own money into the documentary so it could be finished...

Just watch it...it will open your mind...it's currently available on Netflix.

You make some good points.. but would a world without steak, hamburgers, and all the other delicious red meat be a world worth saving?

I wouldn't hesitate to kill the world if it would mean never having to go vegetarian.

Not only am I going to double my intake of steak to make up for you no longer eating beef. My lactose intolerant ass will start eating enough dairy to ensure I can compete with the most flagellant cow!

I hear ya, i used to be like that. Anyway, the whole world will be vegetarian in about 100 years from now as cow meat is totally unsustainable.

There is a sick truth to this, but I love bacon, ham, pork roast, and chicken enough that I would be OK, if cow meat was 3 times as expensive, and considered a delicacy.

More like we will have advanced technology that allows to cultivate meat without the killing and the pollution.
Some of the technology exist already.

I suspect many of us will still be eating meat in a 100 tears, it will just come without many of the associated problems.

How about instead of doing stupid shit like avoiding eating beef to save the planet we just stop multiplying? You do realize that even if we lived perfectly efficient lives, we would eventually overpopulate and every one of the soul destroying methods of pushing up the number of people we can fit on this ball by making our lives ever more miserable would be pointless?

Taking certain steps to "save the planet" is perfectly reasonable. We have a finite amount of many resources. Curbing enjoyable aspects of life in order to create more "room" is idiotic. And beef isn't unhealthy, if I was to list every carcinogen that was as bad as beef it would be list longer then I am tall at 6pt. Its a stupid method of determining whether something is good for you. They used to tell me that eggs give you high cholesterol, now we know that was always fucking retarded. Beef, like everything else if handled properly is as safe as any other food.

It is the sick truth. If there was a law banning all meat products punishable by heavy jail time, I would literally joined an armed resistance rather than live a vegan life.
Life would be worse than jail or death itself if I had to eat a vegan diet.

Stopping multiplying is a good idea but impossible. The Indians and Chinese and sub-Saharan Africans are over multiplying while Europeans are severely under multiplying. Europeans at this rate will be extinct in a few hundred years unless they increase birth rates. The Chinese will want to eat all the cows now too. Humanity is fucked.

So I guess we should enjoy our trip down and stop sharing resources with countries that refuse to control their populations.

LOL, why? Don't be vegan, is overdoing it. Simply cut down red meat, its unhealthy anyway. Stick with chicken and fish. Up our vegetables. Did you know quinoa has all the essential proteins like a steak but much healthier (without the fat and cholesterol?). Make wise choices, you will live longer.

I enjoy meat.

But if I had hearty, whole grain breads, good cheeses and eggs I think I could live the rest of my life meatlessly with little to no craving or regret.

Is there evidence out there that shows a causal link between cow meat and cancer or do you just believe that because a guy in a documentary said so?

Jesus fucking christ not this shit again.

I am sorry to hear that you will be on the other side. I just can't bear to live in a world where the salads and appetizers become main dishes.

Yeah, it's pretty well known. Here is a wikipedia link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carcinogen

Dude, never eat pepperoni, the most unhealthy "food" on the planet. Stay away from processed shit in general.

If you MUST eat cow mean, stick with veal, or 99% extra lean beef.

Also if you cook cow meat on a bbq, it increases the chances for carcinogenic several fold.

I am a bodybuilder, I don't need to eat that to get my essential proteins. Arnold started that myth that you need red meat to grow muscle in the 1970s. It's proven false.

Dude you know silly a steak n cheese is without the steak?

quinoa is a sorry excuse for proper food. Would rather die than eat a quinoa salad and call it a meal.

I wish I was more geared in your direction.

When I have tried to go high protein, low carbs I have become a raving lunatic. If I had to live in a world without flour and sugar I would seriously contemplate ending it.

But yeah, if I had the choice of eating either a greek salad or a steak every night for supper, I would be choosing the salad the majority of the nights.

But I have to have my pita bread with it, bro. Don't fucking tell me I can't have my pitas on the side.

(Just thinking about feta cheese and olive oil right now is making me salivate... Stomach is rumbling.) :)
