basically red's son, foreman, was a complete wash as venom and as a serial killer. I mean, who the fuck thought itd be a good idea to shift the center of the movie around this guy for a minute. I dont know about you, but when I think of 'scaree cereal killurr' I dont think of sitcom actors. not even that dorky kid from the wonder years who people once thought became marilyn manson. not even balki, not even screech, and no ... not even urkel.
also, why the fuck would they go for that hippy shit angle of having a serial killer there anyways. they wanted to hammer home the point of 'the real predators are humans' when you know, thats NOT. THE FUCKING. POINT OF THE MOVIE AT ALL. well it sorta is, but you dont make it obvious. that ruins most sci fi concepts. you want to tell a story? then its about humans being the prey. thats it.
super bad, futuristic tribal hunters that cant be reasoned with or figured out, are mounting human trophies and yelling in a weird cat language. humans are lost and running around with body parts flying, invisible warriors are hopping around, and exploding laser blasts are shooting out of the jungle. I cant get why everyone has to try and be so smart with their movie scripts and then try to bludgeon you over the head with its a message in an action/horror flick. I dont need blatant life lessons here, mate. besides, the basic theme was already built into the premise, so they didnt need to make us stop and think 'huh, maybe we humans are da problem' while some yutz in a prison outfit is trying to kill people in a life or death situation while him, and everyone else is fighting against a bigger problem.
