Was this Edgars last shot?

Like the title suggests, do you guys think this past saturday was Frankie's last chance at a second belt? Or do you think he'll get one more crack if Aldo loses to McGregor again? I dont dislike Aldo, but Frankie has had some great, inspirational performances in the octagon and I really wouldve liked to see him grab that second belt eventually.

Against Aldo yes, but chances are he might get another shot if there is a different champion around, it might be ridiculous but would he get a chance at 135? He would make the weight imo.

I think he realizes he just wont ever to be able to beat Aldo. This rivalry is alot like Cormier/Jones IMO, except Aldo has his shit together so Frankie's kind of fucked

He should consider dropping down for one last run if he can make the cut. There's nothing left for him at 145 except for McGregor and he is not getting that fight. TJ/Edgar Cruz/Edgar would be pretty sweet

It's going to be tough for him. I don't agree that he should move down to 135 unless there is an immediate title match waiting for him. I think Aldo isn't fighting until the end of this year probably (assuming he stays healthy for it too). That fight will either be against McGregor or Holloway. Edgar is going to have to fight another tough guy, just to stay relevant... you lose to that one tough guy, and you're not lost in the shuffle.

It sucks for him because he got beat by an obviously unfair playing field.

'Whining Edgar' is a myth. He's always classy - hat throwing or not.
