I have watched the Connor/Nate fight a handful of times and feel Connor was right, he was inefficient with his energy, which is a fancy (not really) way of saying he didn't adjust the game plan, and underestimated Diaz's boxing technique, his durability, his gas tank, and his length/height.
I am super excited for this rematch. Connor has no excuses now. He needs to get a little more serious with his training, a little less touch-butt, and make the necessary adjustments for a known opponent he can put a full camp together for.
As for Nate, He will have no excuses either. He performed well in the 1st fight with counters to an tiring McG, who was using his energy inefficiently. He definitely took some punishment in the 1st and 2nd rounds, before finally rocking McG with a nice combo, and was ultimately able to turn it up and apply pressure that could not be handled by McG.
In the rematch I feel Nate will come in in murderous shape (#johnson fight). Connor will need to be in incredible shape as well, with a fine tuned/smart game plan for the dangerous Diaz. Diaz knows exactly what to expect in this fight, a slightly more patient McG who is looking to put together well timed, precise shots on him, possibly more countering.
Prediction, this one does not get out of the 1st round, McGregor via KO.

Yeah, I'll take Nate again, thanks.

Conor can't afford to be patient, he will get walked down and volumed by Nate. Conor doesn't have the power to hurt Nate, doesn't have good kicks, and doesn't have a right hand.

Nah

Conor's biggest problems is that he was playing slap butt in the park with one hand and he was tapping out with the other.

I feel like we have an early candidate for @0hm 's new account.

He got beat by a 12 day camp duh duh diaz bro. He was never that good.

He was fighting at about 165, Diaz about 180/185, Connor, as well, took unplanned fight on short notice. The main point is, as a fan of both, I am really looking forward to rematch, makes all the sense, no excuses for anyone, should be fun.

We've seen this in boxing for years. Lighter weight fighters power doesn't translate at higher weight classes.

If Connor was fighting a smaller LW hed have a better chance but Nate has fought at WW and had success.

Plus Nate's weaknesses are kicks and wrestlers, neither of which Connor is great at.

Flinch, Slap, Tap...Repeat.

He showed remarkably poor fight IQ by spamming power punches and spinning hook kicks (none of which even came close to landing) throughout the fight. When he bothered to vary his punches and change levels he had some success, but it was like he became obsessed with the idea that if he just kept winging the left and throwing those ridiculous kicks, Nate would eventually be finished. Unfortunately for Conor, Nate made adjustments in round two and tagged him right on the button a few times, and we all know what happened from there.

He had no excuses for the last fight man, he got beat by the better fighter

Which is why with a Diaz win, Diaz (Nate)/Lawler makes all the sense in the world. If he loses that then big bro Nick comes back for Lawler/Diaz 2.

And where are you getting this from

The situation was full of potential in terms of excuses, was ideal.

Connor weighed in 168, Im assuming at that point he's not trying to weigh more but is managing his weight in responsible way so that wont compromise any speed/technique. Diaz weighted in 170 and has a bigger frame which can handle eating more after cutting to 170 (not his walk around weight). So like most fighters that cut, I'm sure he added at least 10 lbs between weigh in and fight. You know, just using that common sense science.

Diaz weighed 169 buds

Agreed. I don't get why people make such crazy statements in this day and age. Conor weighed in at 168. So I guess he chose to cut.weight come fight time
I have a feeling you are the type of person that could never find Waldo.

Is this what you thought of to keep from cumming? I bet it worked.
