I have a feeling that Conor Mcgregor and his team went over with the promotion and mayweather to have an agreement where the ref would immediately stop the fight when it was clear Conor was about to lose instead of him getting knocked down.

Which would be ideal, as Conor could say that he could've went more and the ref stopped too early.
