I mean it was really early in the fight. Fedor thought he was just going blow by Werdum. But Werdum used Fedor over aggression against him and set up like a venus flytrap on Fedor. Ending Fedor historical win streak. Till this day, I still couldn't believe how shocked I was.

I've always chalked this one up to overconfidence on Fedor's part rather than some brilliant Werdum trickery.
It’s what he’s always done to be honest with usually success. He dove into big nogs guard the same way. So it’s not like he got unusually confident. Werdum was just a world champion grappler so it just caught up to him. Can only go through the fire so many Times before it burns you

Anderson vs Chael I

<BC1>

Yeah this has to be up there too ..

You can see Anderson holding chael wrist and waiting for his moment...and the circumstances of that fight and finish push it above..

Werdums was more of a fantastic Jiu-Jitsu scramble against an aggressive opponent, what to when your opponent is trying to rain down blows without caution

Yeah, after throwing off the first attempt he went right back into the gnp like there was no possible threat

No. Anderson didn't set up any trap. Werdum might have done.

Anderson took an opportunity that presented itself.

Naw watch again Anderson gets wrist control for several moments before the triangle...

If anything Werdums was more reactionary and taking an opportunity then Silvas... he made the best of a over zealous attack ... Anderson positioned himself and sprung the sub
