Was the submission of Fedor by Werdum best set up trap in MMA history?

I mean it was really early in the fight. Fedor thought he was just going blow by Werdum. But Werdum used Fedor over aggression against him and set up like a venus flytrap on Fedor. Ending Fedor historical win streak. Till this day, I still couldn't believe how shocked I was.

I don't think it was a trap. I think it was an on the fly adjustment to Fedors aggression. Incredible win for Werdum and BJJ in general. Maybe the biggest BJJ moment since Royce.

Pretty much. Fedor was never concerned with getting subbed, and was too relaxed with doing what he has always done.

To be honest though fedor got a warning from Werdum, was almost caught in the triangle once and just went right back into it.

It’s what he’s always done to be honest with usually success. He dove into big nogs guard the same way. So it’s not like he got unusually confident. Werdum was just a world champion grappler so it just caught up to him. Can only go through the fire so many Times before it burns you

Werdums was more of a fantastic Jiu-Jitsu scramble against an aggressive opponent, what to when your opponent is trying to rain down blows without caution

If anything Werdums was more reactionary and taking an opportunity then Silvas... he made the best of a over zealous attack ... Anderson positioned himself and sprung the sub
