Koreshkov vs Page needs to be made now.

I think a good wrestler has fun with Page. Page is lucky Askren ain't around anymore.

How? He wasn't even close to being taken down.

Only thing that was "exposed" was his lack of output. I think inferior strikers could outwork him in MMA while he keeps looking for the home run shot.

because he didn't finish the fight? absolutely not. still didn't break a sweat

Page has no inside striking. That's what was exposed.

Who said anything about being taken down? His striking is pretty basic. He wasn't able to KO a guy who didn't even want to win. Never stunned him.

He wasn't exposed at all but he was taught a lesson. Sometimes it's better to be efficient than flashy. As the announcers said, he didnt shorten up his punches but kept going for the big shot.

Hard to KO someone that wants to hug you everytime you get close to him.

No. Page has his weaknesses though. The hands down thing is gonna get him knocked into next week eventually. He also needs to put some combinations together. He wrestled well with a guy that just wanted to hug/wrestle but he needed to show he could stop the wall n stall.

That's where short hooks, uppercuts, and knees can help. Page doesn't seem to have that game. Better fighters can take advantage.

He seems to have pretty good TDD, but he needs to learn how to shorten his strikes and maintain distance a lot better. No point in throwing all this flashy nonsense if you can't land the most basic jab. His stance is also going to get him in trouble one day with a brutal KO.

I think nah shon showed that page's striking game is pretty one dimensional. All page is doing is waiting for that one big strike. It's not a style conducive to winning decisions.

MVP was throwing the uppercuts and knees. Burrell did a good job defending himself by not engaging much.

It's as likely it was a good learning experience for him as it was him being 'exposed'.

That's it right there. The "Naseem" style can only work either against guys who willingly stay at range, or if you have the footwork and speed to keep the fight at range.

Page doesn't have the speed. He'll need to adapt.

lol...sweeps every round, doesn't gas, still lands plenty of effective strikes, got a takedown, defended every takedown and never was taken down(he clearly fell when he left his feet on a spinning kick), and kept his usual demeanor and swagger through the entire fight(one that should have had him frustrated) and yet, he was exposed.

He was late with his inside strikes. He didn't seem to be able to time Burrell coming in. That's why Burrell was successful with the clinch.

Again, he's excellent at striking at range. He needs work against guys who won't give it to him.

What are you talking about? Every-time Page would land, Burrell would clinch and stall. I thought I was watching a boxing bout.
