Was OZ a good show?

It was very well-written show, but there were so many murders that it just got ridiculous after a while. You could barely keep track of who was getting killed.

I liked it.

It would be really good then get a bit lame and then get good again. It was never bad enough for me to stop watching.

First few seasons were good then it just got ridiculous. The fucking aging pill? Come on, man.

It's better than Breaking Bad for sure and almost as good as The Wire.

So yeah, it definitely worth watching.

If the show stopped in the middle of season 4 or even finished off season 4 it'd be better than breaking bad but the rest of that show was serious drop in overall quality.

The Wire is extremely over rated. Season 1 was excellent, 2 was horrible, 3 was great, 4 was meh and 5 pretty dull.

First five season are solid. The final season is shit. It always walked a fine line between gritty realism, and complete absurdity, and the last season did a fucking swan dive off of that line.

Overall it's a damn good show, just be prepared for lots of man sex.

For the first two seasons, it was unique and good. It may have had the worst ending to any series in the history of television though.

I think when HBO gets bored of a series, they take bets on how badly they can fuck it up.

Oz was a great show. That and Sopranos are up there with my favorites for sure. A little bit too much **** though in Oz, but it's a mens prison so I guess it's expected.

Best show of all time. Even its few missteps toward the end were better than most shows' best moments.

Nah, man. Oz isn't better than either of those shows in all honesty. I mean, I'm not trying to say it's terrible or anything, but damn. Oz is one of those shows I thought was somewhat interesting when I saw it as a kid, but I've tried to watch the show again within the last couple years and I just found the shit to be ridiculous and unintentionally comical.

You also get the gas face for saying that shit is almost as good as The Wire. :P

You're right for the most part, but Six Feet Under still has probably the greatest ending of any show I've ever seen. The ending of The Shield being a razor-close #2.

Claire was a beast.

Oz was and always will be one of my top five favorite television shows. The one gripe I have is that the deaths started getting more bizarre, and absurd as the series progressed.

SPOILER:
Still think that Luke Perry's character Jeremiah Cloutier being buried behind a wall and left there to die was way absurd and hilarious. That is the one death that I thought was way too over the top

But still man the show had some amazing characters
