As it seems to be for Conor? Floyd would not fight unless the price was right and Conor is doing the same thing now... But I feel like Floyd fought more and he actually defended his belt several times. Guy has 50 fights. Now Conor is asking these guys to beg him for a fight? They don't pay his salary, they are the guys that want to fight and they are willing and deserving challengers. Tony and Khabib are both ready and willing.

So, I think Conor knows that either guy could beat him and thus is looking for the biggest check he can get in case he loses. If he loses to either of those guys in his first defense his stock will drop a lot. This is going to be a long and painful process.

Thoughts?

Conor wants the most money possible out of beating Khabib and Tony.

Is that hard to comprehend?

The difference is Floyd built his name and cashed in as he went forward, Conor got the fast track to that money by fighting Floyd. Imagine making 100x your yearly salary in one night, and than being asked to go back. Conor has enough to never fight again if he does not go full Mike Tyson with his money. However he does not realize that without Floyd his value is what he was being paid before and he does not agree.

Conor is very much in the same boat as Nate right now.

Conor is not worth what he thinks he is worth without someone like Floyd
Nate is not worth what he thinks he is worth without someone like Conor

Floyd understood this and made considerably less for his next fight after Pacquiao. It takes two to make fights like that, you don't make that kind of money every time.

He's being an ungrateful tool. He played the UFC and they created a monster by letting him fight Floyd. He is delusional if he thinks his next fight will do numbers like his boxing match did.

He should be happy with 10m guaranteed and I hope the ufc caps him at that.

If I were him I would move to 170 for the next fight. A loss up there still leaves him options at 155. A title win at 170 puts him in GOAT status and rustles the most jimmies. As well as buying him a ton more vacation time to pick and choose the next opponent.

Wrong.

Conor knows he probably would lose to both, therefore he wants it to be worth a loss. He knows he loses his star power after a defeat at his weightclass, and it is coming.

Consistency

Floyd has an ATG legacy, pulls some of the highest numbers ever, trains hard, promotes hard and wins after wins. Why wouldn't someone want to do business with him. Floyd delivers success.

Conor on the other hand has a track record of asking for more than what he has in his bank account, not defending titles, has loses, etc.

Conor's the pump and dump and Floyd's a blue chip stock.

Didn’t he just fight 5 months ago? I mean, I’d like to see him back soon, win or lose, but it hasn’t been that long.

Do you really think he thinks that? I know alot of people on sherdog think that. but do you actually think that's what Conor thinks?

now I wonder what you think Conor thinks

I believe it is a bad match up technique wise but I don't believe Conor is scared of shit tbh. It's more to do with the fact he doesn't need to fight again if he didn't wish to

It’s America that creates this bullshit… The same America that got tricked by a dirty Armenian family that broadcasted themselves as royalty… You get what I’m saying Connor is nothing more than a $2 million fighter per fight as there are guys gaining in the 155 pound division as well as other divisions north of it there’s plenty of people that could beat him in the UFC that make him nothing more than a $5 million per fight fighter

I am being sincere. Every fighter knows his weaknesses, these guys are professional and realistic, and that's why they are champions. They emphasize their strengths and improve on their wekanesses.

Conor knows that Khabib would exploit his lack of wrestling and grappling. Tony would do the same.

Conor is NOT unbeatable and really not that impressive. Mendes? Aldo? Alvarez? 2nd Nate? He is very beatable, Khabib is not lying and is speaking from knowledge.

You deserve a like.

I am not convinced that Conor is a great fighter, but I know for sure, he deserves U$15 plus guaranteed, and a bigger percentage of the PPV pie. Since the UFC gobbles up all the sponsorship, advertising and TV licensing money.

If Conor never fights again because of a money issue, I salute him for that. Don't get financially raped.

the way he spends money he'll need to fight soon lol

Well he won the LW belt in Nov of 2016.. so that was like 380+ days ago? Yes he fought a boxing match 5 months ago. So what does that have to do with his MMA career being champion and all? It's basically him doing extracurricular activities in another sport that has nothing to do with MMA.
